Welcome to the wonderful internet marketing world. If you are new to this business, take a seat and prepare for a journey that is never ending. Why do I say that? Because the internet marketing world changes everyday, multiple times per day. There is always something new in affiliate marketing:

• new products that you sell to make money
• new companies coming into the affiliate market with new products that you can offer
• new tools that you can use to help you be more productive and more successful
• new technologies that make things work together better
• new types of marketing activities that you can take advantage of to promote your website

Think about it, only a few years ago blogging was new, social networking sites were not even invented and having a static website with a little flash was considered to be leading edge. The bottom line is that there has never been a better time to get involved in internet marketing and start your own business.

My goal is very simple. When I first got started over three years ago, I spend a lot of very stupid money on a lot of very bad products. I always felt that I was just one step away and that if I could just do one more thing that it would make me successful. I spent the first year chasing every get rich scheme that came along, believed a lot of very bad information from people who were looking out only for their own skin. I hate to think about how much money I spent and how much money I wasted.

The good news is that after beating my head against the wall for that first year, suddenly something clicked for me. I started learning about website development (don’t let that scare you, it’s really simple today), SEO (search engine optimization), social networking, blogging, etc. In other words, I treated my online business as a business. The result is that today, I spend very little money and make a lot of money. Some months are better than others, but every month I have extra money coming that I would not have without my online businesses.

I also learned to diversify and not put all my eggs in one basket. I have numerous websites and blogs, most of which are built around radically different markets and products. But there is a common theme to everyone of those sites in the types of products that I sell, how I optimize the sites for SEO and the tools that I use to develop and support those sites.

This website is targeted to address a very broad audience of internet marketers who are trying to figure it all out. I’m not here to tell you what products to sell or how to run your business. This is not a turnkey business that I’m offering. Rather, my approach is try to bring it all together by exposing a wide range of the types of internet marketing businesses that are available. That’s why we chose a “newsy” educational approach to help educate all of you who want to learn more about this exciting business opportunity.
