This is a very broad subject, but I will try to cover several areas in this posting. There are in fact, numerous ways to earn money working from home online including the following:

• become an eBay reseller
• become an affiliate – there are literally thousands of programs available that you can join for free
• write an eBook and sell it online
• produce Google Adsense websites
• if you are an expert on a particular subject matter, start a membership site and sell your information
• start a blog on a subject you really enjoy and sell products

If you are just getting started, perhaps the easiest way to get started is to start a blog. I cover the subject of blogging in more detail with other posts in this blog, but you have two basic options when it comes to getting started with blogging:

• Use a “free” blog platform such as blogger.com or wordpress.com – These are totally free and you can mix a variety of ways to make money online with your blog including those listed above. But you will have limitations on what you can do with a free blogging platform that may not seem important at first, but will become more important as you start building out your business. You will find that you have a wider choice of blog themes and plugin tools that make your blog more successful if you take option #2 below.
• The fact is, all blogging platforms are free, but the difference is that the “free” blog platforms also provide free hosting of your blog. So the non “free” aspect of the second option is that you will need to have your own domain name, your own hosting account and then upload the blog software through FTP. Don’t worry if you don’t understand what FTP is, it is very easy after you understand it, and we will discuss it in more detail in a later blog post.

The easiest way to begin your internet business is to start blogging on a subject that you have a passion for, and add affiliate products to sell that your blog readers will have an interest. This is just one of the many ways to earn money working from home, and we will dive into much more detail throughout this blog. One of the best tools I have found is BlogSuccess as it provides a wealth of information and tools that you will not find anywhere else to help you get started in your online business.

So if you just did the things I listed above as a minimum, you now have your own internet marketing business. And it will cost you less than a cup of coffee every day. From there, you will have everything you need to develop your initial successes in internet marketing to find ways to make money online selling any product you want to any niche that you want to target. The same basic rules to successful internet marketing apply across all areas of interest and after you understand the basics, you can be successful in any niche.
