Highest Paying Affiliate Programs
It is true, not all affiliate programs are created equal and you should seek out the highest paying affiliate programs in order to make the most money on your website. With the range of affiliate program options that should not be a problem. But there are other things to consider when you are choosing your affiliate partner besides which are the highest paying affiliate programs.

Yes, it is very nice to have an affiliate partner that pays really good commissions. But what if the conversion rate is low? Although you might get paid $100 or more if you sell one of their products, if you can only sell one per month or so, then what difference does it make?
When I choose an affiliate partner, I look for several things that are real important to how I like to market my websites, including what type of marketing support materials do they offer:
- good selection of banners that I can use for inclusion on my websites or blogs – I like to use a wide variety of different banners in various places and size on each of my websites or blogs
- email text that I can use as guidance for my mail campaigns to my opt-in list – I never copy these and use them exactly as they are but it is nice to have a starting point to build an email message around
- articles that I can modify for my blog posts, website pages or article submissions – again, I never plagiarize and use the exact same text but only as a refernece point to write my content
- reporting statistics that not only shows clicks and sales data, but also where the clicks came from
- commission structure that is competitive and makes it worth my while to sell their products
- commission payouts that are achievable – some programs require such a large payout threshold to be reached that it is very difficult to ever get paid, very frustrating when you have earned income from selling their product but you can’t get your money because the threshold has not been reached
- access to the affiliate manager in the event of problems or questions – sounds simple but there have been times and circumstances when it has been very beneficial to make contact with the affiliate partner
- market demand for the products that they offer in the affiliate program
There are many different types of affiliate programs available today and there are many different places to find affiliate partners and products that you can sell. Some of the more popular affiliate networks are:
- Clickbank – offers more than 100,000 electronic downloads of software, games, ebooks, affiliate programs and more that pay out very good commissions, up to 75%; Clickbank products cover a broad range of interests and you can almost surely find Clickbank products that complement your site regardless of the subject matter
- Commission Junction – one of the largest affiliate network programs on the internet, they offer a very broad assortment of affiliate programs to join – everything from food products, fashion, sporting goods, books, games, health products and more
- Kalimbo – a relatively new player in affiliate networks that also offers a very wide range of product offerings
Then of course there are the individual products or companies that have their own affiliate program. If you visit a website that you would like to sell their product as an affiliate, just search for the word “Affiliate” on their page. If you click on the link it will take you to a page that explains their affiliate program and if they participate in a affiliate network program.
