eBay is THE most popular home business in the USA, but it’s not
without its problems. Many have tried to succeed but have failed
due to confusion over what products to sell, giant numbers of
competitors, copy and picture theft from other sellers and eBay
and Paypal that eat into profits.

One way to avoid this swamp, though, is to do a Joint Venture
with established eBay sellers. This allows a JV partner to build
her own mailing list and sell products off eBay.

There are multiple advantages to this way of doing business on
eBay:

1. The biggest uncertainty for would-be eBay sellers is what
products to sell. Sometimes vendors risk large sums of money on
untried products, only to lose their investment, become sour and
give up. With a Joint Venture there is no risk except for a few
hours of time.

2. Since there are no auctions listed on eBay, no one can steal
copy or pictures from JV sellers – because there is nothing to
copy. In effect, we become invisible – no one even knows we
exist and this hidden aspect has many advantages.

3. eBay JVs are usually done with a digital product that can be
instantly downloaded. This is great for any entrepreneur because
inexpensive autoresponders mean that her entire business is
handled via autopilot. Contrast this with the usual way of doing
business on eBay which involves mailing dozens, hundreds or even
thousands of boxes.

4. eBay and Paypal have lots of rules. It’s easy to break some
unwittingly, and even the most honest seller does so from time
to time. A JV merchant isn’t answerable to eBay, however, but
only to her customers.

5. A JV seller never directly lists on eBay, thus avoiding eBay
and Paypal fees.

6. Successful Powersellers have large numbers of customers and
there are lots of administrative details involved. Implementing
a sales system can cost time and money because without attention
to detail packages won’t be mailed in a timely fashion, payments
won’t be accurate, items will be sent to the wrong buyers, and
so on. A JV partner eliminates all of that because all
transactions can be funneled through a hands-off system.

7. eBay selling lives or dies through the ‘feedback’ system.
Negative feedback can kill sales instantly and lack of feedback
causes buyers to hesitite and choose other sellers. Feedback is
totally irrelevant to a Joint Venture seller because she is
using the reputation of carefully chosen other sellers. She
knows in advance that their feedback is high quality or she
doesn’t do deals with them.

8. Inexperienced sellers sometimes drag wiser merchants into
price wars. In a panic over sales, they foolishly slash prices,
beginning a chain reaction that results in bare bones bids that
allow no one to make any money. A Joint Venture seller floats
serenely above such hiccups in the marketplace.

9. Best of all, a JV seller doesn’t settle for a one time sale.
She concentrates her efforts on a mailing list of happy
customers that she can sell to again and again and again. In
this way, not only is she ensuring repeate profits, but she gets
paid for creating this list, rather than having to pay someone
else for names.

With its 147,000,000 registered users, eBay is the best source
of targeted, Net-savvy buyers on the web. By putting together
Joint Venture deals with established sellers, anyone can add
large numbers of qualified buyers to their database efficiently
and inexpensively

Sellers on eBay sells thousands of articles every day. If you sell directly on eBay or you’re an affiliate directing buyers to eBay through your website you need to have all the information available to find the best products to sell.
Let’s have a look at how to collect this information and how to interpret it to give you the advantage you need to be a top seller.
eBay Resources – Free
eBay Pulse
eBay pulse is a daily snapshot of current trends and hot picks. Select a category and drill down to find the hottest daily picks. For example I chose Books and came up with these hot picks
1. harry potter
2. stephen king
3. easton press
4. james patterson
5. bible
Well no surprises there then! Seller Central – What’s Hot
“The eBay merchandising team combs trade magazines, gathers predictions from respected industry experts, and looks at eBay sales data to determine what’s in demand. Here’s the scoop on which hot products will be promoted on the home page, emails, and buyer catalog this season.”
Lists are categorised under the following headings Art, Antiques & Collectibles, Home, Fashion, Motors, Sports and Technology. Check out the hottest selling items in the different categories.
Here’s the first few items from the Technology category to illustrate.
Bushnell Digital Binoculars
Canon PowerShot SD1000
Blackberry Pearl Unlocked
Nokia N95 Cell Phone Unlocked
Motorola H700 Bluetooth Headset
Motorola RAZR2 V8 Unlocked…..
eBay Want it Now
Browse by category or search to see what people have tagged and how much response they’re getting from sellers. You can then target in-demand items that have few sellers meeting those needs. Rather unwieldy for research!
ebay Research Labs
List ‘Most in Demand’ and ‘Top Gainers’ Daily. Another way to find hot products.
Use the Advanced Search to Find Best Sellers
On any eBay page click on Advanced Search, enter your chosen product, scroll down to ‘Number of Bids’ and enter 2. Choose ‘Ending Soonest’ from the drop down menu and perform the search. From the results you’ll see the most sought after items in the category. If there aren’t many items with multiple bids for your product it won’t be a good seller.

When you decide to become a seller on eBay or to open an eBay store, you may be concerned about the shipping of your items to your customers. There is no need to worry as eBay combined with the United States Postal Service makes it easy to ship to anywhere in the world you wish. Easy shipping with eBay is a requirement for every successful eBay business. In this article I present eBay seller tips about shipping with the United States Postal Service.Let’s start our eBay seller tips by noting the handiest tool on eBay might well be the shipping calculator. All you need to do is input your package dimensions, shipping weight and your zip code and this handy tool will figure out shipping costs depending on your customer’s location. When your customer pays for the item, the shipping costs will automatically be figured for you, leaving you stress free. EBay is proud of the ease in which sellers can ship to their customers. You can even set it up to figure out over night, two day or ground shipping on packages and envelopes of all sizes.By using the United States Postal Service, you can print your shipping labels directly from eBay. You do not need to take a trip and then have the package weighed at the post office. Just purchase a shipping scale to makes it easy to ship from your home. You can get a shipping scale from any local post office or even online at eBay. With this type of ease of service, the United States Postal Service is one of the best shipping methods on eBay in most cases. Here’s another of the eBay seller tips to remember. When you generate your postage label through eBay, your customers will be sent a message letting them know that you have begun the shipping process. You and your customers can then track the item online. You will know exactly when your customers receive their packages. This will also keep your customers up to date with their package arrival and they will leave positive feed back about you on eBay. Of course positive feedback is critical to every seller’s success at selling.Another of the eBay seller tips – you can order shipping supplies from eBay. They can be delivered directly to your door. These include, shipping labels, boxes and envelopes. By using the standard United States Postal Service boxes and envelopes you make it even easier to ship your packages to your customers.Once you have your package ready to go you can print and pay for your shipping directly from eBay to the United States Postal Service. Again, this means no leaving your home to go to the post office to pay for the actual shipping. This is the most convenient way to ship. And finally, our last of the eBay seller tips – the United States Postal Service allows you to set up a scheduled pick up from your home. Once you get all your packages together with shipping labels and payment made to the United States Postal Service, you simply go online and order a scheduled pick up or you can call your local post office and request the same service. To Your eBay Success!

If you are considering using dropshipping to supply your eBay auctions with products then this article might change your mind and send you in the right direction…

Dropshipping is terrible for eBay businesses!

What is dropshipping? Dropshipping is a method of buying-and-selling that requires very little money upfront and very little effort. In theory.

Here is how dropshipping works on eBay.

You look through a dropshipper’s catalog to find products you want to sell on eBay. Then, you post the products as auctions or buy it now listings on eBay. If the product sells, you collect the payment from the buyer and forward the order on to the dropshipper, using your eBay customer’s payment to fund the transaction. The dropshipper then send the product directly to your eBay customer.

The money you have left is your profit.

The profit is the difference in price between what you pay the dropshipper and what you sell the product for on eBay. So if your dropshipper sells the Nintendo Wii for $230 and you sell it on eBay for $250 have $20 in profit. However, to determine your actual profit you need to include and deduct your eBay fees, PayPal fees, etc. So your final profit is under $20 using the example given.

Why is dropshipping bad for my eBay business? Let me start by saying “bad” is an understatement. Dropshipping is not bad, it is deadly. Dropshipping makes no sense in the eBay marketplace… Just think about it!

Dropshipping is based on the concept that you can get just one of an item and pay near wholesale price. But if you just think about it, that doesn’t make any sense. If we look at how the wholesale industry works it will be obvious.

The wholesale industry works on quantity. Wholesale is all about bulk. When a huge company, such as Wal*Mart, places an order it is in huge quantity (to fill all of their stores). I’ll make you an example using dvd players…

Wal*Mart wants to order 5000 ZIP-ZAM DVD PLAYERS which retail for $105 each. Wal*Mart plans to sell them for a little under retail at $98 each. So, they contact their wholesale distributor who offers them a price of $86 each. Wal*Mart places the order and everyone is happy. But…

Using dropshipping you cannot expect to get that DVD player for anywhere near $86. The distributor offered Wal*Mart the $86 price because of the quantity they were agreeing to purchase. At the $86 price the distributor is only profiting $5 per DVD player. But that is ok. One sale of 5000 units to Wal*Mart is $25,000 in profit. But you want just one, and a $5 profit sale is not going to do.

You have to look at it from the dropshipper’s perspective. If a dropshipper had a really hot product — why would they sell it to some small businesses for very little profit? Anyone using dropshipping is not going to sell huge quantities (or they would use wholesale)… So what is in it for the dropship company? The dropshipper could even sell direct to the public and do much better. They could charge a higher price and probably sell more units. Wholesalers could do this too, but remember, they do not sell one item at a time. They have a completely different business model.

So, when you think about it even a little bit – WHY would any company sell you just one of an item for very little profit? WHAT would be the advantage?

The answer is simple. They do not. The exception to this would be companies that sell large items that most stores do not keep in stock but will special order or very unique specialty items. But in the real world; in the EBAY world, dropshipping will cost you much more than wholesale price. Since eBay is a low-price marketplace, this means that often the dropshipping price is MORE than the eBay price.

eBay is a very competitive marketplace and the profit margins with dropshipping are just too thin to allow anyone to actually make a good living with this method of product sourcing.

But even if you could find a good product with a high profit margin, you cannot use dropshipping’s main advantage. You can no longer sell the item on eBay and then use that money to buy the item from the dropshipper.

You see, dropshipping is about getting paid first and then using that money to buy the product and have it shipped directly to your eBay buyer. So, you list an item on eBay then someone buys it. Then you use the money they paid you (though PayPal) to buy the item, which the drop shipper then ships directly to the buyer.

YOU LIST THE ITEM

YOU SELL THE ITEM

BUYER PAYS YOU FOR THE ITEM

YOU USE BUYER’S PAYMENT TO BUY THE ITEM FROM THE DROP SHIPPER

THE DROP SHIPPER SENDS THE ITEM DIRECTLY TO YOUR EBAY CUSTOMER

eBay’s recent policy changes will make it nearly impossible to start with dropshipping. One of the major benefits of dropshipping has been obliterated by eBay. You can no longer use the buyer’s money to pay for the product you are selling on eBay.

eBay has an new policy in place where they will start HOLDING FUNDS FOR 21 DAYS or UNTIL POSITIVE FEEDBACK IS LEFT! This applies to small sellers, new sellers, and sellers with less than stellar feedback.

Here are the details direct from eBay’s website…

FROM EBAY’S POLICY CHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT:

Occasional holds on payment

27. Which sellers will have their payments held?

In a small percentage of cases where it has been determined the risk of dissatisfied buyers is higher, PayPal may delay release of the payment funds to the seller until the buyer has left a positive feedback or 21 days have passed without a dispute, claim, chargeback or reversal filed on that transaction.

To determine if a transaction may have a higher risk of dissatisfied buyers, eBay reports to PayPal a number of factors, including but not limited to:

Seller’s % Positive Feedback in the last 30 days

Seller’s Detailed Seller Ratings in the last 30 days

Final price for the item

Shipping & handling fee

Seller’s eBay tenure as an eBay member

Seller’s total number of Feedback

29. When will PayPal release the eBay item hold?

PayPal will release the hold when the earliest of the following occurs:

the buyer leaves positive feedback,

3 days after confirmed item delivery* or

21 days without a dispute, claim, chargeback, or reversal filed on that transaction.

* This applies to US domestic transactions that are shipped by USPS or FedEx and either (i) use PayPal shipping labels to ship items or (ii) upload tracking information to PayPal via the transaction details page.

So, now assuming you are a newer eBay seller (and if you’re established why on earth would you be considering dropshipping) you can not use the money they pay you to complete the transaction as it will be held.

You must use your own money to complete the drop ship order as the funds will not be released for 21 days. Seeing as this “pay only after you sell” feature was one of the best things about the dropshipping method of product sourcing there is really no reason whatsoever to use dropshipping any more.

While this might have you upset. I think it is a blessing in disguise. This will undoubtedly put a dent in the business of the handful of dropship sourcing companies that have made a fortune preying on eBay business hopefuls.

Dropshipping doesn’t work on eBay. It didn’t before and it definitely will not now!

If you are interested in buying products in a method similar to dropshipping (but that actually can help you profit) please visit my anti-dropshipping website at http://www.DropShippingSucks.com

Good luck and no matter what you try remember… If it sounds too good to be true, it is!

Are you interested in using eBay to shop online? If you are, you are definitely not alone, as eBay is one of the most popular online marketplaces. As you likely already know, eBay is an online auction website; an online auction website that allows internet users to post items that they have in their possession, but not longer want or need, for sale. While this tends to give you a large number of products to choose from, it can make getting scammed on eBay relatively easy; however, there is a way that you cannot fall victim to some of the most common eBay scams. That way involves checking feedback.

If this is your first time using eBay, you may not necessarily know that buyers and sellers are able to leave each other feedback; in fact, they are encouraged to do so. Now, if another eBay buyer, just like you, were to have a positive experience, like they got their item in a timely matter and it was what they expected, they would be likely to leave a positive feedback. Positive feedbacks are marked with green circles with plus signs in them. On the other hand, if an eBay buyer has a negative experience, like they never received their item or it was in poor condition, a negative comment may be left. Negative comments are market by red circles with negative signs in them. In addition to positive or negative comments, eBay buyers are also able to leave neutral comments, which are commonly used when a problem arose, but the seller in question fixed it in a timely matter. Also, next to the positive, negative, or neutral markings, eBay buyers can also leave comments.

Although you might not necessarily think about it, the feedback that an eBay seller has can give you insight into the type of service that you may receive. As a way, this feedback serves as reputation for an eBay seller. When shopping at a traditional retail store, there is a good chance that you wouldn’t shop at a store that is known for selling poor quality products or a store that has poor customer service. The same thinking should be applied when using eBay. You don’t want to business with an eBay seller that has a number of poor feedback ratings, as it is a sign of what may come.

If you are interested in examining the feedback of an eBay seller, you can easily do so. When visiting an online auction listing page, say a listing for a new set of hair clippers, in the right hand corner there should be a “Meet the Seller,” section. That section has information on the seller’s eBay feedback, as well as a link that you can click to see each individual feedback rating. You are urged to click that link. When examining an eBay seller’s feedback, you need to remember that it is not uncommon for a seller to deal with disgruntled customers; customers that may leave negative feedback for no reason at all. That is why it is not uncommon to see a few negative feedback ratings; however, be on the lookout for any eBay seller who has an excessive number of them or a new eBay seller that has a large number of negative feedback ratings, as they are someone you should try and avoid.

In short, examining the feedback ratings or comments of an eBay seller will only take a few minutes of your time, but it may end up saving you a considerable amount of money. When shopping on eBay, it is advised that you use your best judgment. A number of negative feedback ratings may be a sure sign that an eBay seller may be out to scam you, in one way or another.

If you are a seller who is only listing items for sale on eBay, you are almost certainly missing the boat on a lot of other sales!eBay, while once the giant and undisputed leader among the auction sites, is losing popularity every day with buyers and sellers alike. Most of the policy changes made during the past 1-1/2 to 2 years have been unfriendly to sellers. But, the recent policy change that doesn’t allow sellers to offer to accept checks or money orders as payment from buyers is one that many buyers are quite unhappy about. As eBay owns Paypal, this was a blatant push to pocket even more fees from sellers by forcing them to basically only accept Paypal as a payment method. There are a couple of other obscure, almost unknown payment platforms. However, neither is feasible for the smaller seller. So, in effect, eBay has devised a way to get an even bigger piece of the pie from sellers.Despite increasing popularity of online shopping with consumers the world over, there are still quite a few buyers who are averse to “paperless” payments and prefer to pay by check or money order.eBay is Losing the Buyers Who Don’t Want to Pay Online. As eBay continues to force sellers away from the site due to exorbitant fees and unfriendly seller policies, buyers are leaving, too, in search of auction sites that give them more payment options. If you are an eBay seller, this can work to your advantage!First of all, it’s never a good idea to put all of your eggs into one basket. For example, under the present eBay policies, if you are unlucky enough to encounter just a handful of problem buyers within a 30 day period who leave low Detailed Seller ratings for you, you might be suspended from selling on eBay for a month or longer. If this should happen to you—and it has happened to many sellers—and eBay is your only source of income, you would be without income for at least 30 days. For many or most sellers, this would be a disaster. The sad truth is that there is little or nothing you can do as an eBay seller to protect yourself from such a catastrophe. But, you can protect yourself from losing all of your income by not relying solely on eBay!There are a number of other auction sites available for you to join and sell your products.Amazon, Bonanzle, Etsy and Ruby Lane are a few such sites. Besides much lower fees, these eBay alternatives are all seller friendly, without the harsh policies and criteria found on eBay that are all but impossible for sellers to maintain. Most, like Bonanzle, don’t even charge a listing fee, so you aren’t out a penny until your item sells.Take advantage of these other sites and don’t rely exclusively on eBay for selling your items!Get the real story on eBay alternatives, plus a giant list of alternatives to eBay at http://www.chinavasion.com/ebay_alternatives.html The definitive list of growing eBay alternatives from China wholesale source Chinavasion.com

Everyone who has heard of selling on Ebay has heard of power selling. Power selling means that you are huge on the Ebay market and you turn over quite a bit of business every month. It’s every Ebayer’s dream come true. So how do you get there?
Power sellers on Ebay obviously know something that not everyone knows, otherwise everyone would be a power seller. Their secrets vary, from their business practices to their sales inventory to their advertising techniques. However more and more power sellers on Ebay are turning to or being created by specialized software for Ebay sellers.
Specialized software for Ebay sellers is designed to give any Ebay business a respectable lift. By providing a unique blend of services to really help the average individual toward their goal of becoming a power seller on Ebay, the software for Ebay sellers can really assist not just in marketing but in client retention as well. Any Ebay seller who can successfully retain buyers is destined for great things. Just like any other business, retaining repeat buyers is the ultimate secret for success.
Sometimes success is just a function of a nudge in the right direction to boost confidence levels enough that a person can take their Ebay business and run with it. Sometimes it takes more than that. Software for Ebay sellers can provide nearly any level of distinct and directed assistance in creating a very powerful Ebay business.
Power sellers on Ebay have almost always been assisted by some sort of Ebay selling tool and Ebay selling tips. Nobody got there on their own. Unlike conventional incomes, the alternative income marketplace does not offer a lot of education. It offers a lot of hype, but very little actual and honest education. Those who have found a source of education or a real and diverse online auction tool have become successful while the rest are still down here on the bottom rung trying to figure it all out.
The bottom line is pretty basic. The trick to becoming one of those power sellers on Ebay is to find some authentic, useful, and applicable assistance out there. Out of all the Ebay selling tips that are out there floating around in cyberspace, would it really be so hard to believe that there is authentic software for Ebay sellers that can enhance even the most fledgling business?
Believe me, there is.

Buying On eBay: The Importance of Checking Feedback

Are you interested in using eBay to shop online?

I believe there are four types of sellers operating on eBay.

The distinction between each of these types is quite marked. And the type of seller you are to a large extent determines how successful you’re going to be and therefore has an impact on the amount of money you can potentially earn from eBay.

eBay Seller Type 1

Type one’s are basically eBay amateurs, or newbies. They run a few auctions and sell a few items. They may operate in a specialist niche, but they aren’t interested in replicating their sales in other niches. They may well be happy at this level of eBay activity as they have no aspirations to develop their eBay involvement into a business, whether part or full-time.

eBay Seller Type 2

These eBayers are apparently successful. Many PowerSellers are Type two’s. What they do is buy lots of different physical products to sell on eBay. Their time is taken in purchasing products, receiving and storing goods, managing auctions, packaging items and shipping products.

They may be doing well financially, but they work long hours, are tied to their eBay and find it difficult to take a holiday.

eBay Seller Type 3

These are sellers who have found a way to be highly successful in a single category or niche, and they deal in volume. For example, they might sell DVDs or computer memory. They beat off competition from other sellers who offer similar or identical products, normally by aggressive pricing. Such sellers are often held out as the best examples of people making money out of eBay. They have significant turnover, and thousands or even hundreds of thousands of feedback. They can also have employees on their books.

Although successful financially, the truth is they are totally tied to eBay and, like type two’s, find it difficult to fit in a vacation.

eBay Seller Type 4

Type 4 sellers use eBay for what it is – an amazingly powerful marketing tool. For Type fours, eBay is a means to an end, and that end isn’t running thousands of auctions concurrently. The end is to create an internet business of which eBay is one element.

Type fours are information sellers. But they are different to most information sellers out there in that what they offer is usually unique and often self-created.

Type fours know that eBay is great place to sell, but realise that it’s an even better source of leads for other sales. They treat each visitor to their eBay auctions as prospects. These sellers will try and encourage each prospect to buy from their eBay auction, to visit their website where other items are for sale and to encourage the visitor to leave their email address so that more offers can be made to them in future.

Type four sellers see eBay as a building block, not the end of the line.

Which type of eBay seller are you?

Coming from Online retailing Amazon vs eBay. Selling on Amazon or selling on eBay? Which is the best option for online vendors (Part 1) • Fulfillment by Amazon:

Since the beginning, Amazon invested heavily on automated fulfillment and distribution centers. This is one of the main reasons eBay has been able to expand faster (geographically) than Amazon. eBay is a 100% online business while Amazon has to invest time and resources to build its fulfillment centers. Anyway, coming back to the point of view of an online vendor this is a very important difference between the two platforms: Amazon offers the possibility to outsource the fulfillment (storing, picking, packing and shipping) while eBay doesn’t. Amazon calls this service “Fulfillment by Amazon FBA” • Return policy / Guarantee:

This is one of the most important differences between the two platforms: Amazon has a full guarantee designed to protect the buyer while eBay does not. This might not seem too important but it is on the long run, because it’s a way to autoselect the kind of buyers and sellers you want to have in your marketplace. Amazon’s guarantee is the “A-to-Z Guarantee protection”. The guarantee obliges any seller to refund or resend the item to the buyer in the event of a claim. This is designed to offer confidence to buyers so they know that they anything they buy on Amazon or from an Amazon third party seller will be as described. Sellers that don’t comply with Amazon’s minimum ratios of client service, by failing consistently to refund/resend items to buyers eventually will not be allowed to sell on Amazon. This means that only good quality service sellers will be allowed to remain selling on Amazon. What Amazon is doing with this is very clear: It’s eliminating one of the most important reasons that kept buyers from buying online, which is fraud/forgery. eBay does not function like this at all, eBay is not responsible of what the seller does or sells. This is why there have been so many claims of false luxury goods of the most prestigious brands being sold on eBay but the problem continues. The way buyers can penalize bad sellers in eBay is through reputation (giving a bad feedback) or through eBay’s Resolution Center which depending on the case and the allegations, can take some time.

All this explanation of the way each platform tries to protect its buyers from forgery/fraud is just to show you how it directly affects the sellers. Sellers of fake items or items with a very low quality won’t go to Amazon because they know that they will have to pay the buyers in case of claims or they will be kicked out of the marketplace. The outcome of the guarantee, besides obviously protecting buyers, is that Amazon is self-selecting good quality sellers for its platform.

SELLERS Perspective

Amazon

eBay

Fees

MORE EXPENSIVE

- Listing Fee: Low for volume

- Commisions: High 15%

Better for high volume // High rotation items

CHEAPER

- Listing Fee: Low for individual listings

- Commisions: Low 8%

Better for High price // Low rotation items

Format

Fixed Price Format

Fixed price + Auction

Auction: Better for Antiques and Collectibles. Ebay moving into Fixed Price direction

Average sale Price

BETTER

Buyers pay more on average for the same items

WORSE

More price competition

Payment Methods

LESS OPTIONS BUT EASIER TO MANAGE

If Amazon can’t collect the payment, the seller doesn’t have a sale, and the item remains listed.

MORE OPTIONS BUT MORE COSTLY

eBay sellers can accept PayPal, money orders, cashier’s checks or cash. However, they’re responsible for managing collections, which means investing more time and labor into each transaction.

Return Policy

WORSE

Tight claim and quality control. If many clients solicit returns, they can be kicked out of Amazon

BETTER

Not obliged to return. The only penalty could be a bad feedback

Shipping / Fulfillment

BETTER

Amazon fixes the shipping credit, per category, regardless of what actually the shipping cost ends up being

WORSE

Seller fixes shipping price, but supervised by eBay

(to avoid overcharging)

Client Follow Up / Marketing Info

WORSE

Sellers are not allowed use the contact information for follow up marketing actions. This is a big setback for any seller because in each transaction, the seller is selling an item, but the customer is acquired by Amazon, not by the seller.

MUCH BETTER

Billing information is managed by the seller itself. The seller can decide what to do in terms of follow up marketing actions. The long term relationship will be between the seller and the client, not between the platform and the client.

Conclusions and final thoughts • Although in general Amazon seems to have better quality of service and a more options for sellers, It’s more expensive and doesn’t allow follow up marketing actions; two things that are not trivial for sellers. In other words, It might be better… but at a cost. • The other very important point is that the clients of both platforms tend to be loyal to their marketplace, which means that if you’re a seller on eBay and decide to start selling on Amazon, you’ll reach millions of NEW customers. Sell on both platforms, you have nothing to lose, only millions of new customers to reach. • As a final conclusion, I could argue that both platforms should be used only to generate incremental sales, and not become the only source of income. To be so dependent on only one sales channel, has always proved to too risky….

A few years ago, eBay was king of the auction sites. Those days are quickly becoming a distant memory as eBay loses more ground every day to other venues. Changes made in eBay policies during the past couple of years have made eBay increasingly seller unfriendly while driving stock prices down into the single digits.Besides making eBay almost impossible for sellers to stay afloat and realize a profit, the bizarre policy changes and frequent increases in fees have driven many sellers away in search of less expensive and more hospitable places to market their wares. Not only are sellers leaving eBay in droves, so are buyers. For some reason, the long acknowledged leader of the auction sites decided to break away from its tried-and-true success formula as the place to find unique, rare and collectible items, and model itself instead after Amazon; focusing on new mass produced items from sellers such as Buy.com.In a nutshell, eBay took on Amazon, and Amazon ate eBay’s lunch.According to internet retail market studies, Amazon experienced a growth in sales last year, while eBay showed a decline in sales and traffic compared to the year before. So, if you are an eBay seller who is barely hanging on by your fingernails, take heart! There are other websites out there that are not only seller friendly but much cheaper than eBay, and your buyers will follow you.Amazon is a great alternative to eBay for many sellers! Basically, it depends on the type of thing you sell. If you are a seller of vintage and collectible clothing and/or textiles, then Amazon won’t be a good fit for you because they don’t have a category for these types of items. But, if you are drop shipping or reselling books, electronics, music or any one of a number of other products, you can leave eBay and find a new and happier home on Amazon!Since Amazon grew in traffic and sales last year while eBay declined, you will have more traffic and potential buyers on Amazon than eBay. Plus, you’ll find the fee structure and policies for sellers on Amazon a breath of fresh air! Besides being considerably cheaper on fees, which means more profitable for you, Amazon is extremely seller friendly.Bonanzle is another up-and-comer on the auction site scene. Although still in is early stages, Bonanzle is growing by leaps and bounds as eBay sellers—weary of being gouged with high fees, decreased visibility due to a search function that doesn’t work properly, loss of traffic and buyers, difficult seller policies and more—are picking up their marbles on eBay and taking them to Bonanzle.Like Amazon, Bonanzle is much more economical for sellers and definitely more seller friendly than eBay!Unlike Amazon, Bonanzle does allow the sale of vintage, collectible and used clothing and textiles. So, if this happens to be your market niche, you would be right at home on Bonanzle!Want to see more contenders for the ecommerce throne?

Becoming a seller on ebay can be daunting. Becoming a travel seller can be impossible, unless you know the secrets. My tips on selling on eBay can apply to all categories of items, but some steps are unique to selling travel.

The travel industry is highly regulated on EBay, as it should be. High standards keep out disreputable sellers and scam artists, and adds to your own company’s trustworthiness when you are approved by eBay..

1. Before you are even thinking about selling travel on eBay, it is important to get a username and email address just for eBay. Registration is free and only takes a few minutes. Register as a seller and you can use the same username to buy as well. Choose a name that reflects what you sell i.e., “Bermudabound” rather than “sexyblueeyes”. Other eBay members will come to recognize you by your User ID, so it’s a good idea to choose one you’ll want to use for the long term.

2. Your eBay name has sunglasses (i.e., read “shady character”) for the first 30 days, so don’t try to sell anything while you are wearing shades. Use this time to buy on eBay and learn good practices from other sellers.

3. Set up a PayPal account. EBay buyers feel more confident purchasing something from a seller who accepts PayPal. According to PayPal, “Listings that offer PayPal are 6% more likely to sell and experience a 5% average increase in final price.” Go to www. Paypal.com. Get a business account. Registration is free.

4. In the first 30 days, buy small items on EBay, pay for them promptly. I have always found eBay sellers to offer good values, provided that you check their feedback listing first.

5. Pay your seller promptly, because then you will always get positive feedback from your seller. Your feedback profile is the most important aspect of your reputation at eBay. Feedback is extremely important on eBay, as your future buyers can evaluate you at a glance. Even one strike against you counts heavily.

6. Create your “About Me” page on eBay. Use this page to tell other eBay users about yourself and your interests, your experience and your products.

7. While you are waiting the 30 days, also become a) ID verified and b)square trade approved. a) Get ID Verified through eBay as an extra sign of security for buyers. When a member gets ID Verified, a third-party company working with eBay confirms the member’s identity by cross checking their contact information across consumer and business databases. You’ll see the ID Verify icon in verified members’ profiles.

B) The Square Trade Seal is one way for sellers to show bidders that they are committed to high selling standards and have had their identity verified by a third party. You will need a credit card and your IATA, ARC, or seller of travel number. Both are requirements for selling travel, and you must place these numbers as the first lines of your ads on EBay. All members listing airline tickets, cruises, vacation packages, or lodging must be participants in the Seller Verify by SquareTrade Program. This program combines verification of sellers with ongoing monitoring. For instructions on this, go to eBay.com.

8. When you are ready to list your items at auction, sell small stuff first, building customers and credibility. Sell all items with no reserve, at the lowest price you can afford to accept, and fill all orders promptly.

9. Choose carefully what you will sell. You cannot sell some travel certificates, or vouchers and all listing must list the exceptions, blackout dates, and extra taxes and shipping charges. Travel agents, and other businesses selling travel services are regulated in eBay. According to the eBay rules for selling travel, “Businesses and individuals who sell and/or arrange air or sea travel or accommodations (but do not directly provide the travel service themselves) may list air and ship related travel items (i.e. airplane tickets and cruise trips), along with accommodations, on eBay only if they are licensed as sellers of travel lawfully able to do business in all 50 states and they themselves will be booking the travel for the winning bidder. Their listings should clearly set out their California seller of travel license number as well as any other license information required in other states. It is against eBay policy for travel clearinghouse affiliates, that are not actual agents booking the travel themselves, to list travel auctions on the site. Sellers are required to include the following disclaimer in all listings for travel exactly as it appears below and in a text size and color that can easily be seen and read by all bidders:

“By listing this auction I verify that I am the actual travel agent or travel provider and not a third party affiliate. The travel/accommodations in this auction will be booked directly through me and not an outside agency. I also verify that, other than the government taxes and related government fees stated within the listing description itself, there will be absolutely no additional fees, charges or after auction purchases associated with booking the travel within this listing.”

For travel services other than air or sea travel, businesses and individuals may offer gift certificates or coupons that are issued by a specific provider of travel, such as a gift certificate to a particular hotel. They may not, however, offer travel club memberships or “choice travel” certificates.”

10. Setting your price

Selecting your starting price requires balancing between how much money you want for the item, and what buyers will pay for it. As part of your pricing strategy, you can research the ending bids for similar items. You can look at similar item completed eBay listings using the completed listings search.

Be sure to include in your price enough to cover your insertion fees, final value fees, and your paypal fees. Set the LOWEST possible price you can afford to accept, but don’t offer something at a price you really don’t want to accept. Buyers expect bargains on ebay purchases, and you may, in the beginning, only get one bid on your item.

Attractively priced items (such as those priced at 99cents) may receive many bids, but unless it is a really outstanding items, the winning bidder may not have bid anything near your cost.

Setting your price involves not only deciding the starting price of your item, but also selecting pricing options based on which selling format you select.

Pricing for the auction-like listings:

The starting price is the lowest price you are willing to sell your item. Bidding will start at this price. Sellers have found that setting the starting price too high may discourage bidding.

If you do not want to sell your item below a certain price, you can specify a reserve price. A reserve price is an option you can use to stimulate bidding on your listing and reserve the right not to sell below the price you want. I do not recommend this option as it discourages buying.

Pricing for fixed price listings: In my experience, this is not a good way to sell anything, since the ebay method is based mainly on auction items. Enter the price at which you wish to sell your item or items as the Buy It Now price.

11. Build a store. EBay stores are free for the first 30 days. Afterwards, they are a small fee per month. ($15.95 / month) According to eBay, Store sellers see on average a 25% incremental increase in sales the 3 months after opening their Store.” Here is where you can list all those other items that are higher priced, but good value at a low listing fee – at Insertion Fees of .03-.10 per month – use good til cancelled

Note: The Insertion Fee covers a single listing (with any quantity of items in the listing), whether you list 1 or 1,000 of the same item. Final Value Fees range from 12.00% of the closing price for cheap items to

Over $1,000.01

12.00% of the initial $25.00 ($3.00), plus 8.00% of the initial $25.01 – $100.00 ($6.00), plus 4.00% of the initial $100.01 – $1,000.00 ($36.00), plus 2.00% of the remaining closing value balance ($1,000.01-closing value)

Auction and Fixed Price listings appear in your eBay Store as well as in eBay Search and Listings. The store allows your buyers to peruse your other items in addition to your auction items. Go to: http://pages.eBay.com/storefronts/openbenefits.html

12. Completing a sale: Remember, your reputation is of utmost importance. If your item sells successfully, the sale needs to be completed. This includes contacting your buyer, accepting payment and shipping the item.

13. I also recommend a “buy it now” listing, using the actual price of your item, i.e, what you really want. Using the “best offer” option allows members to make you a lower offer. Tip: Set a limit on “best offer” minimum bids, or you will get absurd offers of 1 cent or more.

14. Don’t use Listing Upgrades when you are new. Use your own hosting for pictures or eBay Picture Hosting.

15. For free templates for use on ebay, I like http://www.template-o-matic.com/

16. Examples of actions that are not allowed on eBay:

Bidding on your own item, or having family members, roommates or employees bid on your item (called shill bidding). For policy and examples, see Shill Bidding.

Interfering with another member’s transaction.

Accepting payment and sending an item that is significantly different from the item described in the item listing. For policy and examples, see Seller Non-performance.

Refusing to accept a buyer’s PayPal payment using a credit card when the seller included the PayPal logo in the listing.

Charging buyers an additional fee for their use of ordinary forms of payment including acceptance of checks, money orders, electronic transfers or credit cards.

If something goes wrong, including having problems with your buyer, there are options to help with your transaction problems.

17. Some ebay fees:

When you list an item on eBay, you’re charged an Insertion Fee. If the item sells, you are also charged a Final Value Fee. The total cost of selling an item is the Insertion Fee plus the Final Value Fee. The minimum insertion fee is 15 cents and goes to $4.00, depending upon the starting price of the auction. Final Value Fees:

Item not sold No Fee

$0.01 – $25.00**

8.75% of the closing value

$25.01- $1,000.00

8.75% of the initial $25.00 ($2.19), plus 3.50% of the remaining closing value balance ($25.01 to $1,000.00)

Equal to or Over $1000.01

8.75% of the initial $25.00 ($2.19), plus 3.50% of the initial $25.01 – $1,000.00 ($34.12), plus 1.50% of the remaining closing value balance ($1000.01 – closing value)

For examples of travel stores on eBay, take a look at: http://stores.ebay.com/Travel-Ireland-and-Britain_W0QQsspagenameZMEQ3aFQ3aSTQQtZkm

Ellen Mc Nulty is President of Lynott Tours, specialists in travel to Ireland and Britain..

As an eBay seller you can build your seller site around the items you are selling faster and with greater success by using the eBay tools and resources available to you. They can be found on eBay and other auction themed websites.Using these eBay tools and resources can lead to more eBay sales and greater success as an eBay seller.eBay Seller ListingsAfter you have found a product that you want to sell on your eBay auction site search the eBay seller item listings and locate the same and similar items.Keep track of the items prices on the seller sites that are listed.Take note on when the auctions began and when they will be ending.Go back to them many times and check out which of the sites are getting the most sales of the item you also want to sell.eBay Seller SitesTake note on the auction sites that get more sales than the others, how they are set up, designed, and their overall look. You can also compare these seller sites to the other auctions that didn’t do as well as they did. When you start setting up and designing your own eBay seller site you’ll have alot of other auctions to compare to that have already run or are up and running. This part of your plan will save you a lot of time and you’ll also get better results.Compare PricesAdd up the price that you could sell the item for at a profit after payingyour best priced and reliable supplier.Compare your price to the prices of the other eBay seller sites that had a good amount of sales. If you can make a profit by coming close to, matching, or beating these prices you have found a good product to sell on your eBay seller site.eBay ToolsYou can find a lot of articles, eBooks, eBay tools, and resources that will show you how to set up an eBay seller site that looks like it was designed by an experienced eBay store owner. This will increase your eBay sales and success as an eBay seller.eBay SalesStart off with a small to medium inventory.

The irony of eBay is that as it grows to be ever more successful, it draws the unsavoury element of the internet towards it. I’m talking about people who make it their business to attempt to defraud you and I in our eBay and PayPal transactions.

Of course, not all dodgy dealings on eBay are fraudulent. Some are just mischievous. Others are by chancers, who perhaps reckon their victims won’t be bothered to pursue them.

Whoever causes it, it’s left to the targeted buyer or seller to try and sort out the problem. All that we as users can do is to be extremely vigilant and cautious in all our eBay and PayPal activities.

Here is a list of practical steps, in no particular order, which buyers and sellers can take to help avoid becoming the next victim.

Hopefully you are already aware of some of these. It doesn’t necessarily follow that if one of these applies the auction or person is fraudulent. But if you use your head, and build up a view of the overall transaction based based upon a number of these factors, you will reduce your chances of getting conned.

a) Stock photos and descriptions

Because they don’t have the item they are “selling”, some fraudsters use a stock photograph of the item. And they will probably use the manufacturer’s product description too. So, stock photos and no original description might be a sign. Search for other auctions by the same seller, and see if they are brazen enough to advertise the same item more than once.

b) A price too good to be true often isn’t true

A fraudster wants your money quickly, so you may find they offer to close their auction early with you as the “winner” having bid a price which you know to be somewhat of a bargain. Why would anyone close their auction early if the price hadn’t reached market levels? I’ll give you one guess.

c) High value or high volume, newly registered sellers

Although the vast majority of new sellers are genuine and honest, be cautious of buying from people selling high value items in bulk, very early on in their eBay career. This pattern isn’t quite normal. Think back to your own first sales. You would have been tentative, and probably have tried single, low value items initially. So, a new seller fitting this profile may be someone who has perhaps been previously suspended and has registered another ID.

d) 1 day listings

Although 1 day listing are used by genuine sellers who have more than one item or who want a quick sale, unfortunately this duration is attractive to fraudsters too. They sometimes use a 1 day auction duration to gain a quick sale before their actions can be reported and acted upon. So, be extra wary on auctions with 1 day listing.

e) Invitations to trade off-eBay

This is a classic ploy of fraudsters. Having made some kind of contact with you, or you with them, they will invite you to purchase or to sell off eBay i.e. without using eBay’s auction services. The attraction here to the fraudster is that they can drive the transaction along the lines they prefer, whether that be escrow, PayPal etc. Another reason why trading off eBay is not a good idea is that you have to keep your own formal records of the transaction, and you forfeit any cover from eBay buyer protection and PayPal buyer protection. Plus, and this might be a minor point, but you will not be able to leave feedback to let others know your experience with this seller/buyer.

f) Payment methods with no recourse

Fraudsters prefer to chose payment methods in which the buyer has no protection, like wire transfers where the buyer has no way of tracing where the money is going. Western Union Money Transfers and BidPay are favourites and should be totally avoided. Postal orders are similar although they are a popular payment method among the genuine sellers as they require no clearance time. Bank transfers and cheques can only provide the possibility of your bank investigating the details of the account the money was transferred into. For the best protection use Paypal and fund with a Credit Card. Note there are limits on eBay and PayPal protection, and you should make yourself aware of what these are.

g) Unusual sales pattern

If your seller’s feedback indicates that they normally deal in collectables, DVDs or other specific items, be suspicious that they are suddenly listing laptops, plasma TVs or other high value items. The change may indicate that this seller’s account has been hijacked.

h) Bad english gives you a pointer

Some fraudsters operate from abroad but pretend to be in UK or USA. As they aren’t particularly adept at the english language they might use a translation tool like Babelfish to create their emails to you. So, watch out for emails that are not good english. In itself, it doesn’t prove anything, there are plenty of genuine eBay sellers for whom english is not their first language. But it might add to further evidence you have.

i) Location Location Location

In the case of lazy fraudsters you might find their locations don’t match up. By that I mean the auction says the goods are in the UK, but the seller’s ID details show their location to be, say, Ukraine. This is not a good sign. Often in these cases if you contact these sellers you will receive an excuse as to why the item is not in the UK, and therefore can’t be collected in person. In short, if an auction says the item is in the UK and the seller says that it is not, I would avoid the auction. And don’t forget to cross check with their PayPal account, and see in which country this resides.

j) Ask questions

Always, always ask your seller a question. Any question. Their response, if you receive one, will help you judge how genuine the seller is. Beware auctions that carry a message asking you to contact the seller via a given email address as opposed to via the ‘Ask seller a question’ link. This could be an account hijacker trying to prevent buyers from ‘Asking the seller a question’. They want to stop this from happening because such questions could be routed to the real account owner.

k) “eBay can vouch for me” email

A warning about a relatively new tactic used by fraudsters. If you are proving hard to land as a buyer/seller, they may claim they can get eBay to email you proof of their validity so that you can trust them. eBay, of course, will NEVER do this. The email sent out, however authentic looking, is fake and is designed to get you to part with your money or your goods. This applies equally to Square Trade and PayPal. They will never email you certifying the genuineness of anyone.

l)A PayPal warning

There are fraudsters who use stolen PayPal accounts to accept payments. To lower the possibility of this, check your seller’s location as shown in eBay, and then see if it is one of PayPal’s permitted countries by clicking here: http://www.workwinners.com/nlr701.htm. If PayPal don’t offer their service in the country that the seller resides, be very wary.

m) Passwords

Never have the same password on your eBay and PayPal accounts. Or indeed on any other financial or personal site. Change your passwords every 30-60 days on both eBay and PayPal.

n) Escrow

If your seller asks you to use escrow, and proposes an escrow company they’ve used before, this is a clear indication they are fraudulent. There are many fake escrow sites which will take your money fraudulently. The only escrow site recommended by eBay is http://www.escrow.com. An alternative in the UK is http://www.auctionpix.co.uk Please don’t be tempted to use any other escrow company, however professional looking their websites might be. It is a fact that 99% of escrow companies on the internet are fraudulent. They are set up solely to defraud money out of unsuspecting buyers, and to get goods without paying for them from unsuspecting sellers.

o) Pointers in feedback

Try to read the positive feedback as well as the negative. Read the way your seller responds to negative feedback as this will often give you an idea of how the seller will react if something goes badly wrong. If the seller is offering high value goods, be wary if their feedback has been built up quickly from low value purchases. Also, if the overall rating is good, but there are a disproportionate number of negatives in recent days/weeks, this might indicate the account has been taken over. Finally, be aware that feedback is not the guarantee it once was. Feedback can easily be manufactured. Also, if the user ID has been hijacked, you’ll be reading the feedback of the original account owner, not the person with whom you’re currently dealing!

p) Credit Card payment

For high value items, or for amounts of money you can’t afford to lose, make sure you pay by credit card which has online fraud protection. This will give you some recourse if the seller is fraudulent. In this context, paying via PayPal is not the same. PayPal do have a buyer protection scheme, but there are criteria which the eBay auction has to satisfy in order to qualify. Even if the transaction qualifies, PayPal’s standard protection currently has a maximum value of $1,000. Note that payment by debit card provides zero protection.

q) Address and Telephone check

Use the Ask the seller a question link, and request they email you with their address and telephone number. Any reputable seller will give you their address and telephone number. When you get the number, call it, and see if you get through to the genuine seller.

r) Keystroke capturing virus

This is a computer virus which you inadvertently download onto your PC. It’s task is to capture the keystrokes you make, and to send them to the virus placer. The fraudster then uses pattern recognition software to identify and extract personal information, like username, password, credit card numbers etc. To avoid this happening to you, it is wise to have good, up-to-date virus, firewall and spyware checking software on your PC. Here is where you can get free software for each of these functions:

s) Shill bidding

Shill bidding is where people work in cahoots to inflate the bidding on an item. A seller has a “partner” who makes bids on the seller’s items with a view to bumping up the bid price. They have no intention of buying the item. Fortunately, shill bidders and their associated seller can be stupid. The shill bidder will usually makes bids on other items from the same seller. Here’s how to check to see if shill bidding is a feature of a particular seller. First, look at the seller’s closed auctions over the last 30 days. If most of the closed auctions have no bids, it is unlikely the seller has shill bidders working with them. If all of the closed auctions have bids, take a look at the bid history. See if the same bidder appears in the list of bidders, usually with aggressive bidding and normally at the start of the auction. If so, you may have uncovered a shill operation, so avoid that seller’s auctions.

t) Keep your transaction information

Keep your own record of the transaction when you’re buying. Don’t just rely on eBay. You want a record of the seller’s identification, the item description, emails sent and received, plus the time, date and price of your bid.

u) “I noticed your bid….”

Never deal with anyone who contacts you after seeing your bid on another auction. They will say something like, “I saw you bidding on that digital camera. I have the same model available for sale. I don’t have time to list it on eBay. It has more accessories than the one you lost out on. You can have it for xyz.” If you bite, they’ll probably take you down the fake escrow route. Also, if you entertain this proposition, you’re operating outside of eBay and therefore have no auction protection whatsoever.

v) Changed eBay ID

Never deal with anyone who has a changed ID icon next to their name. This icon menas they’ve changed their ID in the last 30 days. Few legitimate people change their eBay ID. When was the last time you changed yours? There’s a 1% chance that an ID change is genuine, but 99% that it is fraudulent. Why take the risk?

w) Changed email address mid-stream

If a seller or buyer changes their email address on you in the middle of a transaction, stop dealing with them. It is likely their previous email account was closed down due to some irregularity – such as a previous victim reported them. If you think about it, why would any genuine buyer or seller change their email address whilst corresponding on a transaction they wish to conclude expeditiously?

x) Complications

Never get involved in any transaction where the seller/buyer tries to introduce a third person into the financial arrangements. They might ask you to pay xyz, who will then pay the seller, and you will receive a discount or commission for your co-operation. Such proposals are always fraudulent. They prey on greed. Don’t be tempted.

y) Time is of the essence

This is a scam which is has more potential for success than traditional phishing attacks, as it is time sensitive. The fraudster searches for high value auctions that have just ended. The bid history for an auction contains hyperlinks to each bidder. The fraudster checks to see if the winning bidder is selling any items of their own. If so, they go to that auction and embed a request for payment from the first auction within a question for seller. This works because winning bidders are expecting request for payment shortly after an auction ends. A variation of this is to offer a bidder a “second chance”. This time the “Ask the seller a question” email pretends that the real winner has backed out, and offers the item at a lower price. The buyer, believing the story, is lured into paying to whom they believe is a genuine seller. Many eBayers have heard of the second chance system, but have no experience of it. This unfamiliarity coupled with the fact that a few weeks might have passed, makes this an effective method for fraudsters. The moral of this story is never get involved in any transaction which arrives in your inbox via the Ask the Seller a Question feature.

z) eBay IDs

Never us your email address as your eBay ID, or part of your eBay ID. Fraudsters have software which monitors internet traffic looking for information such as this. If your eBay ID and email address are the same, it is simple for a fraudster to plausibly communicate with other eBay members in your name.

That’s all in my list. If you have any further ideas on how to prevent fraudulent transactions on eBay, please let me know and I will promote these through future newsletters.

In the meantime, be aware, and be safe in your eBay buying and eBay selling.

Do you like to fix old TVs? Maybe not, but many people do. Think of all the garage sales where people buy items because they want to fix them up or restore them. This same idea can be applied to EBay. You can sell broken and old items on EBay. People will buy them!

If you do sell items that have wear and tear just make sure you let people know that the item is broken or used. You would be amazed at what people will buy. For example, one lady sold 6 half used lipsticks for $53. Don’t look at your old stuff as “junk”, but as “treasures”. When they are “things” no one wants them, but when they are called “items” everybody wants them.

So where should start when looking for items to sell on EBay?

Everything you own, regardless of their condition, has cash value. Everybody has something that they can sell. Look through your attic. Look through your closet. Look in your garage. Every area has items that you no longer need. You can sell these things on EBay.

Some of the items sold on EBay are crazy. One person sold a cane that was supposedly haunted by it previous owner. Guess how much the cane was sold for? $65,000! Another person sold an empty bottle of cologne for $32!

You can also go to garage sales and thrift stores to find products to sell. This can be in addition to selling items that you already have.

How do you start selling on EBay? You need to “list” your item. Listing your item is a simple process.

Note that you only get 55 characters for your listing title. Grammar is irrelevant. However, spelling is critical! If you spell things incorrectly then people can’t find it.

The title you put in your listing has a huge affect on the number of people that view your website. For example, a poor listing title can only bring in 2,000 views while the correct listing title can bring in 12,000 views.

There are more steps to follow that you should learn from an EBay guru. You can also peruse top power sellers on EBay and see how they set up their listings.

Still not convinced that you need EBay for your online business? Think again. One major advantage of EBay is that you can use it to build your client list on any subject in any market on any topic. EBay is a great way to build your database. You can post a link to your business website. This helps you to capture personal information and build your client list.

If you have been following news lately, XBOX 360 Microsoft’s next generation console went on sale at midnight on 22nd November. Many people queued up to make sure they can get hold of the console and experience the hype that has been brewing as times goes by before the official launched. Many people too went home empty handed and disappointed as stores were allocated that small amount of consoles. It doesn’t help that now the XBOX 360 is facing some shortage due to the overwhelming response. Try Amazon, Wal-Mart or Best Buy websites they are listed as sold out or at best limited stock.

In the first few days of sales at auction website EBay, the price even sky rocket to over US$1000 per unit. Key in XBOX 360 and search for it in EBay and you can see that the prices now average for about over US$700, still many times mark-up of the original retail price of US$399. Auction sellers in EBay have been smiling all the way to the bank as they have cashed in on the vacuum that the retail stores have failed to provide.

I have been wondering how those geniuses able to get hold of the consoles and resell it for quick profits. So I was searching and digging the internet for information and finally I was able to come out with a list of company that provides the consoles at wholesale price.

What so great about this, you might think! Well if you look at EBay again, those auction sellers are selling this information for hundreds of dollars! These are highly sought after information in EBay. Believe it or not, some of these companies are selling the consoles at US$275 in bulk and they are going fast. XBOX 360 is scheduled to be launch in Europe and Japan in early December. Imagine the frenzy is going to start all over again with Christmas seasons drawing near.

Be it you are a stay at home mums or doing home business part time, I believe you don’t mind getting this extra information that can help you grow your own home business. Mind you they are not only dealing with one product, they do carry other brands like Apple iPod nano, Canon, Sony Playstation2 or Canon digital cameras all you need is to ask.

Anyway I have placed the information at http://www.monaky.com, it is free for you to download. I spent one whole week just to search and compile it into a list and you are free to pass it to anybody who might be interested.

Also thanks to those who have responded to me about the misspelled auction article previously, I have now incorporated the search program at http://www.monaky.com.

Have fun !!

Does that make sense to you? If you still don’t know what an eBay PowerSeller is, though, its time you should. eBay PowerSellers are sellers on eBay who have reached a certain level of sales performance and have maintained a high number of positive feedback. An eBay PowerSeller is recognisable by the little ‘PowerSeller’ badge that’s attached to their names.

It’s probable that you’ve seen these people around, probably even dealt with them. They are the epitome of success in the eBay scene. They are even treated as celebrities. eBay decides who should be bestowed the recognition of being an eBay PowerSeller and who can’t. They have set up strict requirements on how to identify the coveted title of eBay PowerSeller.

In order to pass up into the minimum eBay PowerSeller level, an eBay seller must have a feedback rating of at least 100 (minimum 98% positive) and the quota of sales is at least $1,000 worth of items every month for three months in a row. Different levels are defined on an eBay PowerSeller membership and as you sell items of greater value: $1,000 total is bronze$3,000 is silver$10,000 is gold$25,000 is platinum$125,000 is titanium.

Once you become an eBay Powerseller member, you need to maintain it. eBay PowerSellers are in danger of losing their much coveted status if they fail to meet the required amount of sales and positive feedback. To put it simply, the people who get to become eBay PowerSellers are people who have been constantly successful and have started in eBay quite awhile, and are very determined to stay that way.

It’s possible for anyone of us to become an eBay PowerSeller. If you are determined enough to succeed on eBay, then you must start reforming your thinking, and think the way these eBay Powersellers do. Know and understand how an eBay PowerSeller thinks about their shop and the marketplace. This is the most important aspect in understanding how eBay PowerSellers think. First, they don’t view what they’re doing as some kind of random bazaar where anything goes. They don’t even think of it as a hobby, where you get some fun out of earning some money.

A trueblue eBay PowerSeller consider what they’re doing as a business – and a serious, risk-taking, stakeholding business, at that.Let’s take for example running a stall in a marketplace. Once you put up a stall, the chances are that you have a general area of business, but mostly you just sell whatever product you can come up with that’s worth selling or anything that happens to be available.Whatever the source and any product that are wholly available, you put up for sale. This may be quite fun for a while.

If you strike lucky on a particular week, then you can declare that you really had a good week – sizeable profits and all. But this kind of haphazard selling is no way to run a real business for a long term basis. Now, eBay PowerSeller do not do their business in this fashion. They think far more like shops. They specialize on a certain product and lock on to a target market. Every week, they sell the same things again and again. This means that they put up regular stock of the same product for regular customers.

They keep tabs tightly on things that matter in the business, like doing ‘boring’ things like keeping inventories and budgetledgers. An eBay powerseller know specifically what they’re going to be selling, exactly how much they buy it for and for how much they’ll sell the items. Just like a real tangible shop that has ups and downs,an eBay PowerSeller holds on and keeps on improving but essentially never changes abruptly.

Then finally, their income becomes stable and their business starts to grow, albeit slowly. So, have you gotten the drift? In keeping up with how an eBay PowerSeller thinks, the best advice is this: don’t opt for short-term gain with long-term risks. In putting up a business, be serious and focused, look after your reputation, manage your selling properly and provide good customer service. Don’t think ahead too soon for the times where you will reap rewards.

Chances are, if you spend your time thinking up and doing ways that will help your business grow, your reward will just come to you in due course and out of the blue, too! Then, finally you’ll get a little badge next to your name that reads, eBay PowerSeller, which will make people trust you more!

eBay has become the world’s largest online retailer. Basically, an online flea market, eBay provides a safe online marketplace where anyone can trade products with confidence. Tens of millions of people, worldwide, buy and sell millions of new and used merchandise on eBay every day, and with a customer base that large, you have at your disposal, customers with a need for what you are offering.

There are many people who make a living trading on eBay or who have made a living trading on eBay. Many people start off with items they already have, listing such items as clothing, toys, antiques, jewelry, automobiles, electronics, etc. Any item that you feel that may be of some value to others might be worth looking into. You can always search eBay to see if an item you have is selling, and the price for which it is selling.

Many people choose to make a business out of their eBay sales. Knowing what to sell or what’s selling is not a difficult task.

EBay’s Advance Search is one strategy to use is to search for items that have sold. By clicking on the Advanced Search link located at the top of eBay pages, and entering your keyword, whatever it is that you’re searching for, and selecting the Completed listings only checkbox, you will find out if items have sold, and what they sold for.
EBay’s Seller Central’s “What’s Hot” section helps to keep you on top of the “hot” items selling on eBay. In this section of eBay, you will find the Hot Categories Report which is updated monthly. This report lists what’s Super Hot, Very Hot, and Hot in each of the selling categories.

There are also hundreds of eBay statistics tools available on the web, such as Vendio, one of eBay’s first developer partners. With Vendio’s Sales Analyzer, you can understand eBay sales and improve your profits by getting a clear snapshot of sales history and recommendations to help you better optimize your sales, for $5.95 a month.
You can also search the categories listings to see what is selling.

Once you have decided on what you’d like to sell, you will need sources in which to purchase your goods. The idea is to buy low and sell high. There are hundreds of thousands of wholesale sources on the web that offer just about anything you’re looking for. It is very important that you do your homework and research various wholesale sources before you make any decisions. There are many wholesale sources on the web that sale wholesaler lists that are nothing more than fronts for middlemen and not true wholesalers. Many more sell lists of wholesalers without checking to see if the companies still exist or checking to see if they deal with small businesses. Many people have wasted money trying to buy merchandise from wholesalers that either require thousands of dollars in initial orders or unreasonable account setup fees. Any distributor who wants you to pay a “membership” or “setup” fee is probably not a true Wholesale Supplier. If it sounds too good to be true, it’s too good to be true.

There are reputable sources out there, you just have to do your homework. Alibaba (alibaba.com) is one of the sources used my many. Alibaba has millions of selling leads from around the world, and specializes in business-to-business trades, especially for international buyers trying to get into contact with Chinese sellers. With their Gold Supplier and TrustPass programs, Alibaba endeavors to provide transparency on the identity and legitimacy of your trading partner. Some people only conduct business with members that are TrustPass members. Of course, you should always do your own research when dealing with anyone supplier.

Another good source (if you are able to travel), is New York’s Wholesale District, especially if you’re looking for jewelry, clothing, and accessories. Most of the stores in this district require that you have a tax id number. Good bargains at wholesale prices are also found on New York’s Canal Street.

There are eBayers that search sales advertisements or other discount sources and try to find merchandise that is heavily discounted enough to buy and resell on eBay and make a profit. Some people even clip coupons from the newspaper and mailers, and sell them on eBay. Check eBay for various store coupons and you’ll see how it is being done. The key here is volume.
Local Auctions are also a good resource for finding things to sell on eBay. Check your local paper for upcoming auctions in your area. Depending on type of auction, you may be able to view a list of items available for auction or even view the items beforehand. This would be helpful because you could search eBay to see if any of the items available for local auction, are selling on eBay, and for what price.

State Surplus Auctions auction surplus property generated by the state government. These are usually one day auctions. You can sign up for notifications of upcoming auctions through your official state website. You can usually find good bargains at these auctions, including properties and automobiles, and you can preview items beforehand.
There are also auction and surplus resources on the internet. GovSales.gov and GSA Auctions are products of the Federal Government which features government assets available for sale. GovSales.gov allows the public to search assets available for sale, and makes it much easier for the public to find and purchase real estate and personal property from the federal government.

Liquidation.com is a business surplus auction that sells a wide variety of products such as apparel, computers, electronics, housewares, industrial equipment, vehicles, and more. Products are auctioned in single to bulk lots that range from new in a box to customer returns and used. Registration is free and easy. GoWholesale, a division of Liquidation.com, is a source that helps wholesale buyers connect with wholesale suppliers. Many auction sellers use goWholesale to find the products, services, and information they need for their businesses. You can find just about anything through these surplus and wholesale sources.

Trade Shows are also great venues for buying items at wholesale or discounted costs. As a jewelry seller on eBay, I got my start by attending a jewelry trade show in my area. I picked up some unique pieces and my first thought was to sell them on eBay. Before leaving the show, I made sure I had the contact information of the seller because I thought that I might purchase more from the seller. I photographed my items, wrote my descriptions, and posted my auctions. The items sold like hot cakes. I immediately called the seller and ordered more. It wasn’t long before I became a Power Seller on eBay.

The internet is filled with tons of little side businesses out there that people are using in their spare time. One of the best little side businesses out there is eBay you can pretty much sell whatever you want on there. It is always not easy selling item on eBay but I know some tricks from the trade that I can teach you. There are three tricks that you need to know when it comes to making an eBay business and they are getting a good wholesaler, making sure you’re business is prepared, and last making sure that you have an excellent shipping arrangement.

The first trick that you need to know when starting an eBay business is to make sure that you have a good wholesaler. Make sure that you go on the internet and look for different wholesalers and do some extensive research on them. When you’re doing your research make sure that they are going to give you a good quality product that is not going to have any flaws. Also make sure that you’re going to have some good kick back from the products you’re going to be selling because there is no point of selling it if you can’t make any money off of it. Also just make sure that the product that you get through the wholesaler is going to be one that is in demand on eBay.

After that the next trick is to make sure that your business is prepared. This would in toe making sure that you have goals for your company. Also you want to make sure that you set up a calendar and put everything that you have to get done down on the day it is due. This will help you stay up on what is going on. Also put in the calendar when everything needs to be ship and make sure that you keep the finances straight that way you have enough money for the next product shipment. If you don’t you won’t be in the business to long.

The final trick that you need to know is to make sure that you have an excellent shipping arrangement. The reason why is because shipping is everything to the customer. They want their product as soon as they can have it and if they are sitting there waiting for it to come and it does not show up well then they will not be a happy camper. Just make sure that you keep track of when your products need to be shipped out by to make it to your customers when they want them by.

Now you know the tricks to help you get started your own little side business on eBay.

Many people are wondering how powersellers can maintain a high positive feedback score on eBay. What’s the secret everyone has been writing the eBooks about?

Many people are wondering how powersellers can maintain a high positive feedback score on eBay. What’s the secret everyone has been writing the eBooks about? Why does maintaining a high positive feedback score help you sell other items?

Why is feedback so important in the eBay community? First, buyers look at feedback scores of sellers to see if they may have problems once they purchase the item. If someone is selling an item and they have a lot of negative feedback it makes them wonder if they are going to have problems with their purchase. In the same token, if the seller has absolutely no feedback or very little feedback, that same question is still in the buyers mind.

Maintaining a high positive feedback score and at least a score of 100 helps to put buyers at ease. Once you hit a score of at least 100 people seem to be comfortable in buying your items. But let’s say you are selling high ticket items on eBay. It would take quite a while to get a feedback score of 100 and you might not sell as many items because of your feedback. It’s a cycle but how do you get over that hump?

Many eBay powersellers buy and sell ebooks. Ebooks are cheap and you can purchase many of them for very little money. In the same token, you can also sell many of them, as people are always looking to buy and sell these information products to help maintain a positive feedback rating. Whenever opening a new eBay ID always make purchases first. I suggest purchasing about 20-50 products on that ID. Of course, information products are always the cheapest way to go. When purchasing these ebooks, make sure you purchase ebooks with resell rights so that you can resell them on your eBay ID.

Once you have a score of 20-50 then I suggest it’s time to start selling a few ebooks. This helps improve your feedback as a seller. Most people sell their ebooks through the private setting, so that when you go to sell your big ticket merchandise, the buyers see the positive feedback and the positive comments, but they do not know what was sold.

Once you hit 100, start selling the big ticket merchandise and keep the ebooks going. You will see your feedback rise and hopefully maintain an excellent score. Of course, you have to follow through on your big ticket items and always deliver what you promise.

Square trade is always excellent to invest in for settling any negative feedback comments. And as a rule of thumb, most sellers have resorted to not giving feedback for an item until feedback has been received for the item. So if you buy an ebook or an item, leave feedback first. Of course, the seller is not going to leave you a negative comment as a buyer unless you didn’t pay. And if you sell an item, always wait for them to leave you feedback first. That way if it’s negative you can always respond to the situation and hopefully get it reversed.

If you are looking for legitimate suppliers of authentic merchandise to sell in your eBay store, you should check out http://www.wholesalemillionaire.com. Many people out there are selling lists of suppliers that sell replicas or fake merchandise and can get you into trouble. Make sure that you have the real suppliers that sell to legitimate retail store business owners. Wholesale Millionaire has those suppliers in their database.

Ebay selling tips are plastered all over the internet. Huge promises are made, though seldom are they ever kept, and millions of dollars change hands trying to get the most out of the Ebay experience. An Ebay business is conceptually very simple. With the vast amount of competition and the growing trend Ebay is still experiencing, Ebay can be a very difficult method of earning a living.

Ebay can also be a very lucrative method of earning a living. If you get the right Ebay tips, it doesn’t have to be an impossible dream to get things really rolling in the right direction.

Online auction software is becoming one of the fastest growing Ebay trends on the internet today. If the software supplies the services you need, then it can really help you toward a lucrative and successful Ebay business. A lot of the online auction software promises a lot but delvers very little. The online auction software is designed basically to give you more repeat buyers in your Ebay store as well as promote you and your store more professionally.

When Ebay came out with its Buy it New and Buy it Now Section, a lot of potential Ebay sellers became intimidates with the implications. Why would anyone choose to go through the auction process when they can just go into the Ebay store and purchase what they want for a fixed price?

This is where good solid Ebay selling tips as well as quality online auction software can really help the beginning Ebay seller excel in the process. Ebay is destined for changes just like all large companies. When you are in business by yourself, you have to learn to renegotiate any changes that come along. If you have a reputable place to receive quality Ebay selling tips, they make it their business to understand the changes as they come along and help you through them. If you have exceptional online auction software already in place, you are already three steps ahead of the rest of the Ebay sellers who have to revamp their entire business every time a change in the company takes place.

A good online auction software program will offer more than just the software, but will help you successfully implement it and utilize its potential as well. Fortunately those programs are out there and you can take full advantage of them as soon as you are ready.

With Ebay seller tips littering the internet, how do you know that this information can be taken at face value? That really depends on you. If you are interested in growing your Ebay business, or just starting one from scratch, then all you have to do is put in a few hours of research and you’ll know what’s right for you.

Those Ebay seller tips that command you to act or you will miss out on this or that are really nothing more than hype designed to get you to purchase something. An Ebay seller tip that doesn’t leave you the option (or the credit) to make up your own mind really isn’t worth listening to in the first place, is it?

If you want to make money on eBay, you need to drive as many visitors as you can to your auction listings – and turn them into buyers! Here are some advanced tips to help you maximize your eBay sales:

*Be a buyer as well as a seller. This will introduce you to other eBay sellers and encourage them to check out your “About Me” page to find out more about you. Not only that, but you can learn a lot from other sellers – what they’re doing right that you can adopt and what mistakes to avoid.

*Set up different eBay identities for each category of item you sell. Let’s say you sell two totally different types of items: discounted trendy clothing and household tools. You might name one selling ID “trenz4less” and the other “handymanspecials.” You’ll be taken more seriously if you can build a reputation as the “go-to” person for a particular kind of product.

*Send automated email messages in response to questions about your auction items. This lets potential customers know that you received their email and that you will respond to them personally at your earliest convenience. It’s also the perfect opportunity to provide more information about your business – like your shipping policies, for example. You can even include a link to your other auctions.

*Promote backend products to your mailing list. Send email to your opt-in list featuring more of your items. A person who has bought one thing from you is FAR more likely to buy something else if it’s related to their initial purchase.

Just make sure you do NOT market to your customers unless they have explicitly opted in – it’s against eBay policy!

*Turn your buyers into customers for life. When it comes to running a business, there is NO greater asset than a loyal customer! Not only are they more likely to come back to you and buy more of your products, they’ll also tell their family and friends about you and spread the word about your site!

Make sure you send them emails thanking them for making a purchase after they’ve bought something from you. Do everything you can to make sure your customers are completely satisfied.

These are just some of the ways you can ramp up your auction sales to make money on eBay. For more auction tips, from novice to advanced, check out http://www.AuctionTips.com.

With the birth of the internet, scammers are able to reach more individuals than ever before. And unfortunately, with the technology available to them, these scams are appearing more and more legitimate every day. This can be hard for business owners who are trying to make a living selling on eBay. The time, money, and effort wasted on scammers can cost you more than you would ever imagine. This is why it is imperative to stop scammers before they have a chance to con you, to keep both you and your home business protected.

One of the most popular scams online today with auction websites is the overpayment scam. Scammers will offer to buy your item for significantly more than your asking price, saying that they want the item now and don’t mind paying extra to get it. You, of course, agree, excited to make such a large profit off of an item that isn’t really worth that much. But, there’s a catch: the scammer wants to send you a personal check for more than what the selling price of the item is equal to. The instructions are that you cash the check, keep the appropriate amount of money for yourself, and then forward the remainder of the cash on to another individual, that the scammer supposedly owes money to. The scammer claims to trust you because he can tell you are a reputable seller.

When you take the check to the bank to deposit it, the bank will clear the check in five days. You think that this means there are no problems, and withdrawal the specified amount of money, ship the item off to the scammer, and send the additional money on to the person the scammer asked you to forward it to. Then, you find out a few weeks later that the check is actually a forgery, and now you are out both the money and the original item. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do in this situation to recoup your losses.

The reason this scam works is because banks in the United States are required to make available the funds from any check within five business days. A foreign check can take up to a few weeks to actually process, which means there is some lag time in between when the money is available, and finding out the check is actually legitimate. Scammers depend on this rule to make the scam work. They receive the additional money that you sent on to their “associate,” who was either the scammer themselves, or someone working for the scammer. They also have the item, and you have no way of recovering it. The biggest problem in this situation is that you are not only out the money that was supposed to pay for the item, you are also required by law to pay back the bank for the amount of money you sent back to the scammer.

To protect yourself from this scam, never, ever accept a personal check from someone who wants to overpay you for the value of the item you are selling. This always means that the buyer is up to something. If they ask you to cash a check and wire additional money to someone else, do not fall for it. The only reason someone would ask you to do this would be if they were pulling this scam. A better idea would be to stick to PayPal, and refuse to accept personal checks. If someone tries to pull this scam on you, refer them to PayPal, and let them know they can sign up for free with their bank account if they would like to purchase your item.

Getting started on eBay is simple and quick. If you follow these instructions you can be up and running on eBay in no time.

First, go to ebay.com and register a username. Before you finalize your name, though, be sure to think it through. You might not want to pick the username that you commonly use on the Internet. People may be able to search and see other things you’ve posted online if you make your everyday username available. It might not necessarily be a concern, but it is something to consider. Alternatively, it might be smart to pick a name that reflects the type of business or products you want to sell. “Jane Doe’s Antique Glassware” is just one example. eBay also allows you to change your uername at any time, so whatever decision you make, know that it does not have to be final. If you change your mind or your business later, you can alter your name accordingly (and it does not affect your feedback or reputation).

Secondly, you need to set up your seller account on eBay. Click on eBay’s selling tab on the eBay website. You will have to fill in information such as the mailing address for your “store” and your PayPal information. You may also need to include bank account information. eBay does not charge you to sign up, but there are fees associated with selling items. Your listing fees and final value fees will be charged monthly to your bank account or credit card unless you specify otherwise. Either way, eBay has to have this information on file.

Next, prepare all of your items for sale. If the items are new, they should have everything that they originally came with included. If they are used, make sure to note anything that’s missing or damaged. You may want to clean the used items as best you can. You will also need to specify what overall condition the items are in. Take pictures of your items and write up detailed descriptions of each one (make sure to list damages, discolorations, missing parts, etc). There should be both a picture and matching description of all defects on used items. If you home has smokers or pets, note these facts in your items’ descriptions, as it can affect buyers with allergies.

Finally, it is time to list your items. Under eBay’s selling tab, you should see a tab to list new auctions. Fill in the keywords to your auction, and on the next pages you will be asked to add your item description, photos, and starting auction price. Once this is all complete, submit your auction.

That’s all it takes. You can now go on listing more items for sale and watch the bids come in!

Digital media is in many ways the ultimate product to sell and make money on eBay with. This is because there is virtually no cost involved in the obtaining and distribution of digital media!

A few things of note regarding digital media:

- It is downloadable via the internet, which means no packaging and shipping costs

- Because you can make it available via the internet, it can be easily automated for a nearly hands-free transaction

- Exact copies can be made at will, so you will never run out of inventory

The information you’re reading right now is free, but I used to sell it as part of one chapter in an eBook. I wrote the eBook once, digitized it, and put it on my website. From there the sale, distribution, and delivery of it was all automated. People came to my website, paid through my payment processor, and were directed to a page to download their copy, all happening automatically without any involvement from me.

In fact, I may very well have been in Las Vegas and living up the high life while all of that was happening!

The original copy of me eBook stayed on my web server. What you’re reading right now is an exact copy of what is on my web server. I could potentially sell hundreds of eBooks everyday, all without doing any actual work myself.

But where to get the eBooks to sell? Personally I recommend writing your own. Whatever it happens to be that you know a lot about, write about that!

I’ve written a few eBooks about selling on eBay. But I’ve also written about how to save money by building your own computer, internet marketing, filing chapter 7 bankruptcy without an attorney, and a few other subjects.

I’ve known people who have had great success writing about subjects that you might not think anyone would be interested in such as dog grooming, getting divorced without an attorney, car buying tactics, and even cook books. So don’t ever think that you don’t have something to write about!

eBay has a method to allow you to sell digital media hands free. Step-by-step instructions can be found on their site by typing in “digital media” from their help page. A couple things to note:

1. You need to have a verified PayPal account

2. You must list in the fixed-price format

Doing these two things allow you to completely automate the process.

Now that you know how to SELL an eBook on eBay, you might be wondering how you can go about CREATING an eBook. Well, that’s another article for another day. Suffice it to say that selling digital media like eBooks is one of the easiest ways to make money on eBay.

In this brief article I’m going to outline how to make money on Ebay in three quick steps. Before we continue, I want to briefly explain what Ebay is and how so many are actually quitting their jobs to earn a living with just Ebay alone.

Ebay is an auction site where you can post an item for sale and have people from around the world bid on it too receive it. There are literally an innumerable amount of items you can list for sale from a pancake that has an image of the Virgin Mary, an old piece of furniture or even your car. You would be amazed at the different things people list on Ebay everyday.

To make money on Ebay you first need to open an account. This is easy and can be done by going to Ebay.com and clicking on register. This only takes a moment and you’ll be ready to go. As with anything, make sure you read the terms and conditions listed before submitting your information.

The next step is to find something to sell. This can be the fun part. If your like most people, you have stuff stashed away in your garage, in the attic or packed away in closets that haven’t seen the light of day in years. Why not make some money from it.

Now, don’t say to yourself, “no one is going to want that old piece of junk!” There is an old saying, “one man’s (or women’s) junk is another man’s treasure”. This is the absolute truth. I guarantee that if you list that old sewing machine from the 1920′s with cob webs and roach poo on it, someone will bid on it. Someone may have been searching for your exact antique sewing machine for years and would be thrilled to find it and buy it from you.

Now that you have found something to sell you need to list it on Ebay. This is easy to do once you have logged in. Simply click on the “selling” link and then click “get started selling on Ebay”. From there you’ll need to list the name of the item you are selling.

This is one crucial step many overlook. You need to have good title for your item. For example, don’t just put “Sewing Machine”, rather use a title like “Rare Antique 1920′s Sewing Machine”. That title sounds a lot better don’t you think?

After you have chosen a great title you’ll be taken to another page with a series of options. These options will range from what category you want to be listed in, whether you want to upload a photo of your item, describe the item, set the pricing and what to start the bidding at and finally you’ll need to decide whether you want to accept payments via Paypal and if so enter your Paypal email address. If you don’t have a Paypal email address you can get one at Paypal.com.

Congratulations, you just listed your first item and bidders should be coming your way shortly.

In conclusion, if you are going to make money on Ebay then simply follow the steps I’ve outlined above to get started. There are many advanced techniques, strategies and courses on how to be a big time seller on Ebay, but for now just getting used to the system and how it works is important. So, all you have to do is go and find something to sell and see how easy it really is.

As the largest online marketplace in the world, eBay is keep improving itself in order to maintain and enhance its reputation. It’s normal, since many Internet surfers already in love and trust very much on eBay. If you already have an eBay account, you may buy or sell goods on eBay. As a prospective buyer, of course you want to get a trustworthy seller so your ordered items will be sent to the destination address safely with expected quality .

An advantage of trading on eBay is that we can choose a trustworthy seller. How to select a trustworthy seller on eBay? Here i provide tips on it:

1. Select a vendor with a rating over 95%. You certainly wonder what ratings mean? Rating is the ratio of positive and negative feedback obtained from the buyer-seller. How rating calculated? Rating is calculated by the following equation:

if a seller has a positive feed back = 10, negative = 0, then the rating is 100%.

Is the provision of this rating can be honest and trustworthy? YES! because the previous buyer gives feedback directly to the seller by filling out the form after purchasing.

2. The next way is to view the total amount of feedback given. Try to select the seller who has received over 1000 feedback. Number of feedback can be seen on the top right corner where the seller is selling.

feedback at picture above, sellers get feedback rating of 28,438 with 99.5%

3. The next way to choose a trustworthy seller that is trying to choose “TOP RATED SELLER” because the seller is a proven person who’ve satisfied his/her customers, namely by:

* By consistently get high ratings from buyers
* Deliver ordered goods to buyers rapidly
* Having received a good track record from eBay
* Sellers with RATED TOP SELLER categories are the following symbols in the profile:

How to be rated as TOP SELLER?

1. Have consistently rated 4 star or 5 stars from the buyer, delivery of goods quickly and accurately.

2. Had sold goods to the value of transactions greater than $ 3000 and have reached at least 100 times in 1 year transactions on eBay

3. EBay has selected these requirements related to

4. Is it necessary to pay for a TOP RATED SELLER? No, because the assessment is fair to eBay standards of customer satisfaction.

If the item you want is not sold by RATED TOP SELLER, see seller feedback and testimonials submitted by previous buyers. If there is no negative feedback or comments that are not good, then the seller is certainly reliable enough. Here is an example of feedback comments from the seller (of course you choose “feedback as seller”)

On Ebay auctions,This simple checklist will help you keep on top of things. Have you found out everything you possibly could about your items? Try typing their names into a search engine – you might find out something you didn’t know. Being a seller is a lot of task, and sometimes you might feel like you’re not doing everything you should be.

It is not really difficult to make money on Ebay. If someone else is selling the same thing as you, then always try to provide more Information about it than they do. There’s usually little point in starting a fixed price auction for $80 when someone else is selling the item for $60. Do you monitor the competition? Always keep an eye on how many other items the same as or similar to yours are selling on ebay, and what prices they’re being offered.

Are you emailing your sellers? It’s worth sending a brief email when transactions go through: something like a simple “Thank you for buying my item, please let me know when you have sent the payment”. Follow this up with “Thanks for your payment, I have posted your [item name] today”. You will be surprised how many problems you will avoid just by communicating this way.

On your ebay store you would have to make your pictures ready. Have you got pictures of the items? It’s worth taking the time to photograph your items, especially if you have a digital camera. If you get serious about eBay but don’t have a camera, then you will probably want to invest in one at some point.

Do your item description pages have everything that buyers need to know? If you’re setting up to offer international delivery, and then it’s good to make a list of the charges to different counties and display it on each auction. If you have any special terms and conditions (for example, if you will give a refund on any item as long as it hasn’t been opened), then you should make sure these are displayed too.

Also, are you checking your emails? Remember that prospective buyers can send. You email about anything at any time, and not answering these emails will just make them go somewhere else instead of buying from you.

Have you been wrapping your items correctly? Your wrapping should be Professional for the best impression: use appropriately sized envelopes or parcels, wrap the item in bubble wrap to stop it from getting damaged, and print labels instead of hand-writing addresses. Oh, and always use first class post – don’t be cheap.

Do you follow up? It is worth sending out an email a few days after you post an Item, saying “Is everything alright with your purchase? I hope you received it and it was as you expected.” This might sound like giving the customer an

Opportunity to complain, but you should be trying to help your customers, not take their money and run.

Being a really good eBay seller, more than anything else, is about providing legitimately good and honest customer service. That’s the only perfect way to Protect your reputation. Tips on ebay for dummies will be of help for beginners.

A lot of people are earning huge income from Ebay and if you would like a Free Ebay Business Report, then click the above link to get instant report download.
In order to accomplish the goal of becoming a consistent and successful seller on Ebay there are five basic principles you must follow. Yes, there is actually a blueprint and formula you can follow that will put you on the road to success as a seller on Ebay. Here is that blueprint and that secret formula.

1) You must realize that selling is both an art and a science. It involves having an existing product or creating one, advertising and marketing the product to stimulate demand for it (which is basically the consumer feeling that they either want or need the product), affixing a price to the product that the market could both bear and the seller could make a profit, and finally making the sale.

Actually I shouldn’t say finally, because you want to keep selling to the same customers over and over again, establishing a customer base as well as a foundation for your Ebay business you can visit www.mining-auction-gold.com

2) You have to learn the psychology of buying and the buyer to become a great seller.

Buying is based on want or need. After the basic necessities are satisfied involving shelter, clothing and food, people buy because they want things. For example, you need soap to take a shower or bath, it’s a necessity at least I hope it is. However, you don’t need a vanilla ice cream you just simply want one.

So when you see an ice cream stand on the street, you start to feel an urge to have an ice cream, so you buy it “can I have a vanilla ice cream with a sugar cone and sprinkles on top” You must always remember that people buy impulsively and this impulsiveness is stimulated primarily by emotion.

So in your Ebay auctions in your description of the items that you are planning to sell, you must use powerful words that serve as emotional triggers. It is important to use vivid descriptions because the potential buyers cannot touch or feel the item. The following is an example of a vivid description:

This fabulous diamond engagement ring is set in a handmade 14K White Gold Lucida mounting. The ring features a stunning 1.50 Carat IGS Certified Square Radiant Cut Diamond, graded I Color and VS1 Clarity. The Diamond is set securely in a high polished four-prong setting. This exquisite jewelry will make a perfect engagement or anniversary ring. The ring is shipped in an elegant Gift Box

Pictures are also very important because they give the potential buyers a visual of the actual product and as the saying goes “a picture is worth a thousand words”. Here are some quick tips on how to take great pictures for Ebay:

Make sure that you use the proper lighting when taking pictures of your item.
Try to use a background that will contrast well.
Avoid background clutter
Take pictures at different angles to give bidders a complete view and in depth representation of the item

3) Research. You must do research on the items that you plan to sell on Ebay to ensure that these items are commercially viable. For example, is the product that you intend to sell receiving a lot of bids in other auctions?

It doesn’t make sense to stock products that don’t have a great chance of selling. You will simply lose your shirt. So doing research help’s you avoid this potential pitfall and others. Further more, research enables you to get a feel for the market place and help’s you to determine by doing comparables to other auctions what price you should affix to your items.

4) You must have great keywords in your title. The key to getting many potential bidders to visit your auction on Ebay is the keywords that you use in your title.

So my advice is that before you list an item for sale on Ebay, it is important to do a search on the keywords you plan to use in your title. The purpose of this task is to see how many listings come up. If the results are few or none at all, you should try using different keywords in your title unless you have a very unique item for sale. Also I would check for any misspellings. On the other hand if there are many listings, chances are you chose some great keywords.

5) You must provide great customer service. Providing great customer service is an important prerequisite to becoming a successful seller. Here are some tips that you should employ.

I suggest that you be accurate and honest in describing an item in your listing. Provide as many details as possible. If an item has a scratch or a slight tear, make sure that you’ve mentioned it or go to www.auction-o-matics.com Also, you should indicate whether or not an item that you are selling is refundable. Answer all inquiries regarding the item that you are selling. This help’s to avoid misunderstanding.

In addition, after the winning bidder has paid you, make sure you ship the item in a timely fashion. Following these procedures gives you a peace of mind, while providing satisfaction to your customer. Remember, the Ebay system allows both the buyer and the seller in a transaction to leave feedback. Your feedback rating is very important in your quest to become a successful seller on Ebay.

Ebay members usually determine if they want to buy from you based on your feedback rating. If your rating is high, it instills confidence in a buyer and chances are they will bid on the item you are selling. If it is low it would of course have the opposite effect. Ebay became the number one auction place in the world because of their feedback system

Making money on eBay offers stay-at-home moms interesting advantages. Whether you want to earn a full income or just want to make some extra cash, eBay allows you the flexibility you need. From the comfort of your home, you can work when you want, scheduling your hours around family time.

You can literally make money on ebay while the kids are sleeping. Getting started with eBay only takes minutes. The account itself is free; the only fees you have to pay are for the items you sell. Just sign up on eBay and add your account information. It is also a good idea to sign up for a PayPal account, since that is the preferred method of payment for most buyers and sellers.

The average American family has over $6,000 worth of unused or unwanted things in their home. That means that, whether you are aware of it or not, you probably have plenty of potential items to sell on eBay. You can start selling them right away and then use that money to make your eBay business even more lucrative. The more active you are on eBay, the more likely it is that people will buy from you.

Running your eBay business does not take that much time either. You can plan your work time around your current schedule, so that it does not interfere with your home or your kids. For example, listings can be done in the evening, while your children are asleep. Then, when you have spare time during the day, you can answer emails and customer questions. Even shipping can be flexible.

You can choose to ship all of your items on a specific day of the week, or spread it out during your “off hours.” Another benefit of eBay is that you get paid instantly. If you have a PayPal account, you can move customer payments to your bank account as quickly as the money is processed. This means that you do not have to wait two weeks for a paycheck, and you can make and transfer your earnings at your own pace.

For stay-at-home mothers who cannot keep up with a demanding job or simply do not choose to, eBay is a great alternative. The more you put into your eBay business, the more you will get out of it. Best of all, it can be done on your own schedule, while you are spending time with your family.

If you want to make money on eBay while raising the kids, visit http://AuctionPaydayKidsPlay.com to find out how. Vickie Sayce has written a very informative book on starting an eBay business to make money from home while raising the kids. She teaches others how to get started on eBay (VickieSayce.com), and has been buying and selling on eBay since 2001. Her ebay store is Vickie’s Ventures.

People ask all the time: “do people really make money on eBay?’

While it’s become a harder thing over the years to make a decent living on eBay, it’s not an impossible thing to do.

In fact, there are a few individuals who have learned how to make hundreds of dollars a day with eBay, and they do it without dropshipping, selling or trips to the post office.

They do it without having to worry about dealing with inventory or irate customers or even other competition. And these few individuals do it with a quiet method that they’ve kept to themselves for years. And why would they tell anyone? These few make thousands of dollars everyday on eBay.

And, they do it legally, quietly, and within the rules of eBay.

In fact, when the new rules regarding digital selling on eBay were introduced a few weeks back, many sellers were put of of business selling on eBay. These people were sellers that did things on eBay the way everyone else did. But, suddenly, with one rule change, they were all forced to either quit selling on ebay, or change how and what they were selling.

These people were wiped out… but not the ones who knew “the method”.

The people that knew what they were doing went on making money with their simple system. They spent about 20 minutes a day setting it up. And after that, they were done. They just let the money roll in, day and day out, and moved on to the next money stream.

So… how do you make a lot of money on eBay, and do it like the people mentioned above?

Simple: they used the eBay Crusher method.

If you’ve ever wanted to make money with eBay, of you ever thought about it, you know that it’s not all people make it out to be in terms of being easy.

It’s not just about finding a product you like, and setting up a ad page. It’s about dealing with overhead, shipping, and inventory. It’s about mailing and dropshipping products.

It’s about constant customer complaints, and watching over your auctions 24 hours a day. If you think that selling on eBay is easier than a day job, guess again.

But what if you could make a good living on eBay without going through all those hassles? What if you had a way that was perfectly legal, and within eBay terms of service to make hundreds of dollars daily with a method that could be set up in just a few minutes, and could be used over and over again to make eBay an automatic money source?

This is what the eBay Crusher method is all about. We ran a 15-day experiment with our method, and made over $970 in 15 days, using our 15 minute setup. You can see our screenshot of our results at http://www.ebaycrusher.org.

eBay Crusher is going to be the next big thing in affiliate marketing. We are sure that once people see and experience how easy it is to do, and make money with, everyone is going to want to do it.

Take a minute now, and visit our site. eBay Crusher is guaranteed to work, or your money back.

Perhaps you’re familiar with the term first coined on eBay: Power Seller.

Or, you might even be a Power Seller on eBay.

What you may not be aware of, though, is the hidden potential in other auction sites, or eBay alternative sites, to be a “stealth” Power Seller.

You won’t have a little icon by your user name on these other sites to tell the world you’re a Power Seller, but that is probably a good thing as Power Sellers seem to be targeted more by scammers than other sellers.

However, if you take advantage of the many benefits for sellers that are available at other alternative auction sites, you might become a “stealth” Power Seller.

Many of the eBay alternative auction sites do not charge listing fees. Some don’t even charge final value fees. So, a lot more of the money from what you sell will end up in your pocket instead of eBay’s.

That would be a refreshing change, wouldn’t it?

Here are a few tips for becoming a Stealth Power Seller on an eBay alternative auction site:

Don’t put all of your eggs into one basket:
There are at least 15-20 viable alternatives to eBay. Since most of those don’t even charge a listing fee, why limit yourself to only marketing your wares at one site? Instead, list with several of them. The more the merrier! It will just be more free exposure for you and your products and an increased chance of selling more items by reaching a broader audience of shoppers.

Stay away from Paypal:
Avoid taking Paypal payments if you can. Since Paypal started its nasty little habit of holding a seller’s payment for an item for 21 days and expecting the seller to go ahead and ship it before getting paid—the more you can collect your payments through other channels besides Paypal, the better off you are. Many of the other sites will allow a seller to accept checks or money orders. No fees on these paper payments means more profits for you!

Cater to the smaller niche markets:
Many buyers who frequented the smaller niche markets on eBay left when the sellers went elsewhere. You need to be where they are if your products fit into one of these niche categories.

By spreading your items around at some of the eBay alternative websites, you can realize a substantial increase in sales and profits!

Now you know the keys to their success find out the eBay alternatives that stealth powersellers use.

making money on ebay

Learning how to make money on eBay is not rocket science and at first glance even the most rudimentary principles of making money apply. Profit equals income minus expenses. Sell something for more than what it cost you and you’ve satisfied the equasion.

There are therefore only three things that someone who wants to learn how to make money on eBay needs to do. 1. Buy something, 2.sell it, 3. make sure that the purchase price is less than the sale price (including fees). Selling the item isn’t usually the problem. As with so many things that relate to making money through buying and selling, the profit is in the purchase price.

What this means for people trying to make money on eBay is that they need to develop a strategy for buying things consistently for a good price. It must be the number one problem for eBay sellers and it is unfortunate because learning how to make money on eBay is so easy.

Where can you buy things to sell on eBay?

I guess this is the number one problem for eBay sellers, really. But it shouldn’t be. We all buy things every day and we know people who buy things and see people buy things. It’s just something that the majority of people have experience in. And we’re usually not shy about shopping around for the best price.

The problem is that in order to make money on eBay we need to be consistently buying at below 50% of retail to make a profit (for new items anyway). This is roughly the average discount that you should be able to get on eBay for something that you could otherwise buy somewhere else.

But how do you get this sort of a discount regularly?

First of all, there is no hard and fast rule that says that you have to sell new things to make money on eBay. Trying to find dropship suppliers and wholesalers is really an advanced topic that only the most serious and committed eBay sellers should employ.

The reason that eBay originally gained it’s giant success wasn’t because it was a great place to buy a plasma TV for a bargain basement price. eBay originally established itself as a place for people to trade collectibles and antiques and other rare items.

The good news is that this kind of product still sells like crazy on eBay, but many people who want to learn how to make fast money on eBay neglect this kind of product and just want to know how to find a dropship wholesalers for iPhones or TVs!

It really is crazy.

Antiques, collectibles and other rare items are available plentifully. There are antique stores everywhere and bookstores full of highly profitable items. Where do you think these sellers get their items?

From you and me.

I think the major problem is that we are looking too far in our quest to make money on eBay. We probably have something in the attic or garage that we could sell instantly for over $1000. I know I have. So if we have these items, then doesn’t it stand to reason that other people do too?

Garage sales and weekend markets are still the best place to go to find items for next to nothing that can be used to make money on eBay. You just need to do a little homework and a little leg work (oh and probably get up early on a Saturday).

I have personally made $1000s from a couple of hours on a Saturday morning and I do it regularly.

Ebay is the hottest tool in the Internet market that you can use to promote and sell your merchandise and make huge profits from it. If you play your cards right, you simply cannot run into a loss on eBay.

For many, eBay is the only way to reach out to a vast target group around the globe in no time. If you are wondering if eBay works, you need to check out the raving reviews about eBay on the Internet written by people who made it big on eBay. Today, eBay is one of the most visited websites, with more than 160 million registered users across the world. No wonder sellers are dying to showcase their products on the world’s greatest auction site ‘ eBay!

EBooks that can be digitally delivered to eBay buyers are soon becoming popular products being offered on eBay. EBay could simply not ignore the profit potential of providing opportunities to eBook sellers. Selling eBooks on eBay is incredibly easy and the best part is you don’t have to be net savvy for that. The average price of an eBook on eBay is less than two dollars and after settling the listing and paypal fees, eBook sellers are left with very little profit or sometimes no profit at all. However if you know the right way, selling eBooks can be extremely lucrative.

Every year, eBook sellers make thousands of dollars from this business and the number of eBook sellers on eBay is rapidly increasing. So, what is their success mantra? Well, you may also benefit greatly from the strategies such sellers use to sell their information products. Successful eBook sellers, list hundreds of eBooks at prices as low as ninety-nine cents.

The rationale behind this is not for making money from eBook sales, but to use such products to pull buyers to their eBay store. Once a buyer visits their store, they can offer other high priced products and boost their eBay business. Successful eBay sellers also leverage the power of viral eBooks and rebrandable eBooks to enhance traffic to their own website and eBay store and also promote affiliate programs. Typically, sellers add a link to their info products that guides buyers back to their eBay store and other products. The sale of rebrandable eBooks not only allows sellers to market affiliate products, but also enables them to make big profits through back end sales.

Many eBook sellers consider eBook selling as an important strategy to build a mailing list. Having established a mailing list, it is easier to inform customers about any new products on sale in future. In addition, you can stay connected with potential customers through newsletters and thus enhance the possibility of getting repeat business from them.

If you’ve ever been to an open bazaar or to your neighborhood farmer’s market, then you understand the concept of a market place. These market places have existed for hundreds and thousands of years, in all corners of the world, selling a wide variety of items. The open marketplaces provide a great way for buyers and sellers to come together and makes it easy for people who are searching for a specific product to find what they are looking for, at the price they want to pay.

eBay is the greatest marketplace ever and millions of people buy products off eBay every single day. In fact, many people start at eBay when they are looking for a specific product, because in most cases you can find exactly what you are looking for at a greatly reduced price. With the economy in shambles, eBay stands to have continued growth because of the perceived value that it provides.

That bodes well for those internet marketers who want to make money online with a wholesale dropship store website. What does this mean exactly? Well, eBay gives you the opportunity to quickly and easily start your own business. You can start an eBay store within minutes at no cost.

That’s the easy part, but then most people start trying to figure out what type products they want to sell and more importantly, where can those products be sourced. That’s where the wholesale dropshippers come in, which provide access to goods that you can resell. It really is pretty simple. You list products that your want to sell on eBay, someone buys one of those products and pay you, an order then is placed with your dropshipper partner, and then the product is shipped to the buyer. That all happened without you touching the product, without having to ship a product and without having to pre-purchase any product to sell.

The advantages of drop-shipping are many and include the following:

You do not have to buy or stock any inventory. So, your cost is of business is very low because there is no stock carrying expense involved, and your risk is very low because you don’t have to put out a lot of money.

You do not pay for items that until they are sold and you are paid by the customer who purchased the product. Again, you have little risk because you don’t have to invest money by buying product until it is already sold.

You do not have to worry about the creative info for listings, as the drop-shipper normally will supply all the necessary product images and specifications.

Your cost is fixed, and you can set your selling price charge whatever you want. In some marketsYou fix your own selling price of the product. Convenient, when you know your niche market well.

You can offer various products on your web store, across multiple product lines and sourced from multiple dropship suppliers.

The question then becomes, how do you find and select a drop-shipper partner. Here are some things you should consider:

You want to pick a supplier that is reputable with a lot of drop-shipping experience

The drop shipper you select should agree to ship individual products, as that is how most of your sales will occur

Make sure the drop shipper uses your name when the shipment is made. You want to the drop shipper to be transparent in your relationship with YOUR customer.

In a similar manner, all paper work including shipping notices, invoices, etc. will reflect your company’s name.

If you google wholesale dropshippers, you will find a long list of options. You might think that this is the easiest to find your drop-shipper, just by buying a wholesaler list on the Internet. This is not a good idea because you will have to deal with many different companies which will become a hassle at some point.

From our reearch, we believe that the following are the three best wholesale dropshipper choices for your business:

Drop Shipping Wholesalers – You will have access To 500 drop shippers, and includes a free turnkey ecommerce website stocked with a wide range of products that you can offer your customers.

Salehoo – Over 65,000 online sellers, retailers and bargain hunters use Salehoo as their place for legitimate, pre-screened wholesalers, dropshippers, liquidators and manufacturers for every type of product imaginable.

Worldwide Brands – Dropshipper list and wholesale list of pre-qualified wholesale dropshippers and volume wholesalers is your source for millions of products you can sell for profit.

Many people start an internet business and quickly run into issues because they don’t understand what they need to do, and then they give up. Most of the time it’s because they don’t have the information they need to effectively run a competitive internet business. Take the worries out of that part of the puzzle and follow a proven guideline to make money online with a wholesale dropship store website.

You establish an account as a retailer with the Drop Ship Wholesale Supplier that provides the products you want to list on your website or blog.

You download the images and descriptions of the products you want to sell from the Drop Shipper and post them on your Internet Store.

A customer surfs onto your website or blog, and decides to purchase a product that you have priced for $80. They purchase the item with their credit card, your e-commerce store charges their credit card the $80 purchase price plus your any applicable shipping fees.

You then notify your your Drop Shipper about the order by email, along with the customer’s name and address.

The Drop Shipper sends the product directly to your customer, with YOUR Store’s name on the package.

The Drop Shipper charges you the wholesale price of, as an example, $45.00, plus shipping.

Your customer receives their product from your store shipped to their door by the Drop Shipper, they tell all their friends about you, and you make even more money.

There you have it, in this example you just made $35.00 profit on one item. You didn’t have to buy a whole bunch of the product and keep it in your warehouse, hoping you would sell it. You didn’t have to pay to have it shipped to you, and then pay to ship it to your customer. All you did was send an email to your Drop Ship Wholesale Supplier. That’s the drop shipping business process in a nutshell!
