search engine marketing software

Search engines rank URLs for particular keywords or keyword phrases, so keyword analysis is without a doubt very important to the overall search engine optimization process. The key to successfully optimizing a web page is first understanding as much as possible about the words or phrases for which users are searching.

So, the idea behind keywords is that you want to optimize your content for search engines (search engine optimization) by tagging your blog posts, articles, etc. with specific keywords. This will allow people to find your content through searching the net. You want to use keywords that people search for a lot, but that relatively few people are using to tag their own content.

Keyword analysis tool come in two different forms, free and paid. The free tools are fine if you don’t mind spending at least half of your time toggling back forth between different sites in order to get ALL the information you really need to assess whether a keyword is going to be profitable for you or not. A good keyword analysis tool will put all the necessary pieces of information at the tip of your fingers saving you valuable time that could be spent actually making money instead of doing research by hand.

Keyword analysis is vital to make sure you give your website the best high quality and volume of targeted keywords. Keyword research is made simple with the beginning of several internet marketing and search engine marketing software. This prompted warning flags from the search engines. And this is what referred to as keyword stuffing, one of several black hat search engine marketing techniques.

The purpose of this tool is to support webmasters and SEO professionals in executing keyword analysis. This action is an essential step in the search engine optimization process. This tool when given a URL, displays the most frequently used keywords and key phrases present in the document involved. This tool will help you improve search engine placement by discovering niche keywords and key phrases that apply to your articles. These keywords and key phrases may be used as search terms in pay-per-click (PPC) search engine advertising campaign.

Keyword analysis research is actually pretty simple, just give people what they want ! I do not recommend using free keyword analysis research tools as the data is often skewed and the criteria may be inaccurate. After using many free and paid options I always seem to come back to my old favourite, Wordtracker.

Google Analytics – 100% free website analysis of stats, visitors, bounce rate, traffic counts, traffic sources plus much more. Total free website analysis reports and incredibly easy to use dashboard and control panel. GA allows you to create targets and objectives which enhance website performance and helps the webmaster to focus on particular actions.

keyword analysis tool

Google Trends has been around for about six years; but it is a resource which is not used by many. With this article, my intention is to share some possibilities that you can have with it. Join me for a few minutes to look at what this tool can do. Maintain an open mind, what I have for you today might just end up as a “gold mine” of information for you. Remember, “knowledge is potential power.”

Let’s begin. In your web browser, enter “Google trends.” Shortly you will have “Google trends” emblazoned on the top middle of your display. My “hallucination” is that this initial display is what disappoints or intimidates people: there seems to be nothing of value that can be seen here. But take heart and experiment with me.

Trial query
In the text area right below the “Google trends” text, enter: “guitar, piano, saxophone.” Then click on “Search Trends”–on the immediate right of the text you just entered.

What the program returns is a rich volume of information; and can be very useful–as we work on the following interpretations. Values are reported as: 1.00, 0.29, 0.02 for guitar, piano, saxophone respectively. This means that in terms of search volume, there are more people online who are interested with “guitar” information rather than “piano” topics and further less people interested in “saxophone” matters.

What the data further means
In terms of search volume, the following could be a useful way of interpreting what the numbers mean. For every 100 searches on “guitar,” there have been only 29 searches on “piano” and a meager 2 on “saxophone.” What this finally redounds to is the following. If you are in the musical instruments niche and are considering between the said three musical instruments, picking a guitar niche–is the no-brainer answer. Which you should now appreciate–something you would not easily know were it not for your use of Google Trends.

Using the lower information
Regions, Cities and Language will tell you how our keywords fare with certain locations and “tongues.” Click on “United Sates.” The display changes a bit, with the values now at: 1.00, 0.24, 0.02. In the context of the previous report (for the worldwide market), the data now means that the disparity between the two keywords of “guitar” and “piano” is now at 76 (100 – 24). The difference was just 71 (100 – 29).

What the data further means
In the United States, for every 100 “guitar” searches, there are 24 “piano” searches. Therefore, a guitar niche will be a far better niche in the U.S. market than in the worldwide market.

What now appears on the lower left-most portion of your display is Subregions; which took over the area that was formerly “Regions.” If your business targets a state-wide market, then your query process can continue by simply clicking on the U.S. state of your choice. Right beside it are your Cities options; which can be useful if your operation is for one city only.

What is interesting in our simple example is how “guitar” searches continue to dominate over our other two seed keywords.

From this very simple query sample, an appreciation of Google Trends should easily come to fore.

SEO Competition Analysis–in order to be complete, must always be undertaken in two equally important steps. Step One, is the Off-Page Competition Analysis. Step Two, is the On-Page Competition Analysis. This article will cover the the second step–in the context of assessing your competitors’ websites.

On-Page Elements
As evident from the term, these are the website qualities that can be found within the web pages of your competitors site.

The best way to explain these is to relate them to HTML; the acronym for HyperText Markup Language. HTML is the most dominant computer language used for web pages. Its system relies in the use of component portions of text that are structured into headings, paragraphs, lists, quotes, and other items. HTML pages come with a hierarchical structure with elements called as “tags”–surrounded by angle brackets within the files and web pages they occur in.

Below is a short sample HTML code from a strong (hypothetical) competitor’s website on Rabbit Care–myrabbitcare.com; where the keyword “rabbit care” is used. To illustrate an ideal scenario–where three tags and the domain name all contain the keyword. Note that in HTML, left and right angle brackets (which cannot be shown faithfully here) are used. Substitute accordingly for each occurrence of the left and right parentheses on all of the 12 numbered lines that follow.
01 (!doctype html)
02 (html)
03 (head)
04 (title)Rabbit Care at its Best!(/title)
05 (meta name=”Description” content=”Rabbit Care at its Best”)
06 (/head)
07 (body)
08 (h1)Rabbit Care Basics(/h1)
09 (p)Lorem ipsum Rabbit Care dolor sit emet…(/p)
10 (p)Rabbit Care consecteteur adipiscing elit…(/p)
11 (/body)
12 (/html)

The Five On-Page Elements

Title – Keyword in Title Tags–see line 04 in our example
Whether your competitor’s web page Title tag contains the keyword.

URL – Keyword in URL–contained in “myrabbitcare.com”
Whether your competitor’s URL contains the keyword.

Desc – Keyword in META Description–see line 05 in our example
Whether the keyword appears in your competitor’s web page meta description tag.

Head – Keyword in Header Tags–see line 08 in our example
Whether the keyword appears in your competitor’s web page h1, h2, h3, etc. tags.

CA – Google Cache Age
The number of days since Google last indexed the page listed.

When done with your SEO Competition analysis, you must objectively look at your chances in making it in the niche you are considering. If your competitors are too strong–because they have gained a major dominance over your niche–your best option will actually be to find another one which is not “ruled over” by competitors.

A thorough analysis of both Off-page and On-Page elements can be difficult or almost impossible to do without the proper tools. One of the easiest and fastest way for this is to use the SEO Competition Module of the Market Samurai software.

With it, a complete and authoritative analysis of your niche’s top competitors can be available for your study after one mouse click.

keyword analysis tool

Google Insights for Search is actually just a sub-element of Google Trends. To access it: enter “Google trends” in your web browser. You will be brought to the Google Trends website. Today, we are interested only on elements in the lower portion of the display. The text that reads, “Explore advanced features with Google Insights for Search.” Click on the underlined, blue-colored text “Google Insights for Search.”

What it Can Do for You
Because you are in business and also want to keep abreast with the world, this is an excellent resource. Imagine if you can ask someone to tell you what the top money words are in your line of business. Google Insights for Search actually answers this question–which is why it is an outstanding research forum. It is an authoritative archive of the words (keywords) the world has been using in their web searches–all these recent years. Ask yourself the sheer power that this information can mean to your business…

What to Ask – Part 1
The way you interact with this database (ask questions) is through the use of the different settings. You have a wide array of options. Let us start with the simple use of “Filters”–found at the top right of the display. You have a total of four settings: Web Search, Worldwide, 2004-present and something which defaults to “All Categories.” Because my desire is simply to get you started with this tool, let us not tamper with the top three Filter settings. Let us just leave them as they stand and only tweak the Categories setting.

Initially let us set the lowest Filter to “Social Networks & Online Communities,” then click on “Search” to initiate our first query.Top Searches (first five) include: Facebook, Facebook login, hi5, orkut, chat. Rising Searches (top five) include: Facebook, Facebook login, Hyves, MySpace, nasza klasa. In terms of the relative demand for the top searches–the column on the immediate right of the Top Search items, Facebook currently has a measure of 100, while the next three all have 10. This means that Facebook is currently garnering ten times the search demand being enjoyed by: Facebook login, hi5, and orkut. Beside the rightmost entries, the measure reads as Breakout.” Breakout means that the search term has experienced a change in growth greater that 5000%; which can simply be interpreted as–very substantial.

Next, let us set the Category Filter to “Internet.” After you click “Search,” we get our results. Top Searches (first five) include: Yahoo, MSN, MySpace, Gmail, Google. Rising Searches (top five) include: Bebo, MySyspace, tuenti, Mynet, Gmail.

What to Ask – Part 2
Maintain Category Filter at “Internet.” Proceed with using “Search Terms”–found on the top middle of the display. Enter the key phrase “keyword research,” then click on “Search.” The results show a graph (at the bottom) on Interest over time: Interest Level. On this one, a point of interest will be that our particular term was nil or zero from 2004 until the first quarter of 2008, when it began to enjoy a rating which averaged at around 50. The number rating reflects how many searches have been done for a particular term–relative to the total number of searches done on Google over time. Not to be interpreted as absolute search numbers but instead as values that are taken relative to one another. How searches vary over time.

The Value of the Information
Our above experiment should simply be considered as a preliminary trial of Google Insights. In this day and age when information is potential power, you are likely to find a “gold mine” of knowledge from this resource.

With each tool comes inherent and potential values. Give Google Insights a chance–explore more of what it can do. Do not under-estimate the value of “gifts” that are given for free. (Thank you, Google!) They are probably the tools which your competitors are using!

Does it frustrate you that it takes far too many hours to find the right keywords for your niche?

As you read every word of this article, you will quickly discover the fastest and easiest way to unearth your “money words.” The price of admission into this quick-and-easy system is for free. It’ll cost you nothing!

If you are into Search Engine Optimization (SEO) because you need to identify your niche’s “golden nugget” keywords, chances are– you are faced with one or all of the following challenges:
* You’ve been taught the Google Search and the Google AdWords Tool combination as an approach. But you have found this process takes too long and to be error-prone. I call this the “long-hand” approach approach to keywords research because it takes the patience of Job to get it done. You need several hours if you are to get all the authoritative information that you need. Don’t get me wrong… You have to study your niche very well as you embark to develop your website; to learn as much as you can on it. Knowledge is power. But should it really take that long? Isn’t there an easier way which will not consume too much of your precious time?
* You’ve been taught to use the Keyword Effectiveness Index (KEI) Ratio Method. But you have found this to be just as difficult to do. Aside from also taking too long, the use of two elements: popularity and competitiveness– as used in KEI is insufficient. Instead of using two criteria elements, the new methodology of Keyword Research now mandates the use of four elements: traffic, relevance, competition and commerciality. And the new system takes less than half an hour to do!
* After hours of using one or both of the above approaches, you get an edgy feeling that you might be missing out on something… And indeed you are.

How would you like it if you can easily and authoritatively identify your best keywords in as little as twenty minutes?

All you need to do is to get the software Market Samurai. Its most important component is the Market Samurai Keyword Research Tool (MSKRT). To fast-track your use of the same, you will also need a simplified tutorial that will teach you exactly how to use the MSKRT even if you have never used it before. The eTutorial is titled– Market Samurai In twenty Minutes (MSITM): A Beginner’s Guide to Keyword Research Using Market Samurai.

Here is the most amazing part. Both MSKRT and MSITM are available as online gifts for all who care to have them. Totally for free.

Keyword Research novices will always ask these two most basic questions, “How do I get started? What topic shall I take up first?” Add to that the matter of teaching someone the early use of the Market Samurai software– and you have a stalemate situation of sorts…

Is there a way whereby a beginner can be taught the basics of Keyword Research and Market Samurai (M.S.) at the same time? Is it possible to have a beginner’s tutorial that can piggy-back the teaching of one over the other?

Responding to the clamor for a simple tutorial– in Keyword Research and M.S., this Beginner’s Guide is offered.

The Market Samurai Keyword Research Tool (MSKRT) is just one of the nine modules which the complete M.S. software includes. It is probably the most important and the most useful tool with which you can begin your early use of the M.S. application.

Noble Samurai (the makers of the software) teaches that there are four tenets that must be addressed, in order to find your “golden nugget” keywords. These four are:
1. Traffic
2. Relevance
3. Competition
4. Commerciality

Within the program, all of the above “magic four” criteria elements (tenets) are addressed using just four simple steps within the program, as follows:
Step One: Start program, enter keyword or phase, click Keyword Research
Step Two: Tick Google Search, Add Permutations, click Generate Keywords
Step Three: Set “Magic Four,” click Analyze Keywords
Step Four: Use Recommended Settings as per values below, Export CSV

The “Magic Four” settings address the above-mentioned four tenets, respectively. As recommended by the experts (Noble Samurai):
1. SEOT = 80 visits per day
2. PBR = 15 % ratio
3. SEOC = 30000 competing webpages
4. SEOV = 30 dollars per day

All of the foregoing are quite simple and straightforward within the software, and beginners (like us) need just twenty minutes to complete the process.

search engine marketing tool

Probably the most common mistake internet marketers make is not to investigate the strength of the competition. In their eagerness to get their business rolling, they forget to objectively assess their chances of success against their competition. Heed the following warning. If the competition is too strong–because they have gained a strong dominance over your niche–your best option will actually be to find another one which is not “ruled over” by competitors.

This article will give you a glimpse of the elements that come into play in the analysis process of your strongest competitors. By gauging the preeminence of the competition, you will be able to make an authoritative decision on whether a candidate niche will be worth pursuing.

An excellent way of visualizing the process of page ranking is to imagine that Google sends out automated robots–which we will call as Googlebots–to tabulate the faithfulness of websites against certain criteria elements. Two general criteria groups are probed: on- and off-page elements.

On-Page Elements
As the Googlebot explores a site, it gets information on specific aspects to assess the relevance of its individual web pages to online users. The web page titles, descriptions, header tags and whether the appropriate keywords can be found on the domain name are individually checked. Google considers the correct integration of these element as positive points for each web page that comply. The Googlebot makes a report on “points garnered” with respect to its in-house criteria. Google proceeds to make a record (which techies call a cache) of the updated reports on websites the Googlebots visit. This is done at regular intervals so that rankings do not have to be constantly generated.

Off-Page Elements
Googlebots also assess domain age and the number of indexed pages on each site; the older a site and the more compliant content pages it has–the better. Additionally, the Googlebot reports the number of back links there are to a website. When sites with high authority or legitimacy such as educational (.edu) and government (.gov) sites link to a domain, the Goooglebots interpret this as a strong plus; that a site is delivering good quality content. Also, if a site is listed in the Dmoz and Yahoo directories, the Googlebots will likewise give additional points on a site’s ranking.

A thorough analysis of both On-Page and Off-page elements can be difficult or almost impossible to do without the proper tools. Possibly the easiest and fastest way for this is to use the SEO Competition Module of the Market Samurai software.

With it, a complete and authoritative analysis of your niche’s top competitors can be available for your study after a few short minutes.

keyword analysis tool

The internet has become a vital tool for globalization. Information technology has grown by leaps and bounds and has been instrumental in the phenomenal growth of many online companies. Even small and startup businesses have become the grateful beneficiary of the internet. Business promotions and expansions have become truly accessible to most who would otherwise be discouraged due to lack of information and critical know-how–which used to be accessible only at high costs. With the presence of search engines (Google, Yahoo and MSN/Bing are the current leaders), information about almost anything is now literally at everyone’s fingertips.

When it comes to your specific enterprise being found online, it is important to know the best approach towards being found on the net. Your business website is where you can display all the relevant information about your product or services, such as its name and location of the business, details about your products or services, photographs, prices, contact numbers, directions, etc. It will be very helpful if you can avail of website promotion services, to make possible a wider net presence. Look for a trustworthy company to guide you. You will need this to maximize your exposure to as many internet users as possible and attain an edge over your competition

It is paramount that when you present your business through your company website, you must choose the most effective keywords to convey exactly what your company does or sells, and what makes it distinct from the competition. Your Unique Selling Proposition (USP) must be made evident and be presented in tandem with the keywords which your business will eventually be identified with.

When people search the internet to look for a business like yours, they usually effect a “Google-search” using certain keywords and be brought back a list of websites which correspond to their search. Sites which are in accord to the product or services they are interested in are what the search engines present as the “response” to the “search” made. This is precisely the very essence of keyword research–to be associated and found with meticulously chosen keywords within your “niche” or area of interest. The challenge in keyword research is to find those preferred and desirable keywords which run parallel to the public image you would want to be identified with.

Another critical component of keyword research is the number of people actually searching online for the keywords or phrases you eventually choose. The rigmarole process can actually be made easier through the use of top-notch tools which will make the selection process easier, more methodical and more reliable.

search engine marketing tool

SEO Competition Analysis–in order to be complete, must always be undertaken in two equally important steps. Step One, is the Off-Page Competition Analysis. Step Two, is the On-Page Competition Analysis. This article will cover the first step–in the context of assessing your competitors’ websites.

Off-Page Elements
As can be deduced from the term, these are the website qualities that do not directly occur within the site itself. The concept of the words “do not directly occur within” can be a bit baffling, so I will proceed with a bit of elucidation.

Let me do it with the use of a different element. Let me relate these Off-Page qualities to–time. Almost all off-page elements are strengthened through the passage of time–the more time your competitor’s pages have been online–the higher they rank. But it should be important to clarify that the passage of time alone is most useful only to the first element (domain age), and will matter less with the others. Backlinks likewise rely on time and are eventually attained as a domain grows older; enhances its presence, creates integrity for itself and attains its backlinks. The more important criterion for backlinks is not time, but the level of authority the websites have.

The Seven Off-Page Elements

DA – Domain Age
The age of your competitor’s domain. Relies solely on how long their website have been in existence–the older, the better. Did you know that Google and the others search engines “know” exactly how old all website are? This is done thorough the use of “web crawlers”–programs that are constantly in search of new websites to document their contents and give them ratings, and assess page rank.

PR – Page Rank
A measure of the overall quantity and quality of your competitor’s web page links. Google has its confidential system of PageRank algorithms. Nobody (expect Google) knows exactly what these algorithms measure. But SEO enthusiast constantly guess these to be directly linked to the elements included on this list.

BLP – Page Backlinks
Number of links pointing to a web-page from outside of the website. Note that this is one link that points to one web page.

BLD – Domain Backlinks
Total number of links pointing to an entire domain (the whole site) from outside of a website. In contrast to the preceding, this is one link that point to the whole site.

BLEG – Government or Educational Backlinks
The total number of links pointing to a web-page from Government (.gov) and educational (.edu) sources that are external to the web site itself. Here, the concept of high-authority domains come into play. One BLEG-link from a highly respected.edu site can become the equivalent of 100 BLD-links of low authority.

DMZ – DMOZ Listing
Whether your competitor’s site is listed in the Open Directory Project’s Directory.

YAH – Yahoo! Listing
Whether your competitor’s site is listed in the Yahoo! Directory.

This article is for anyone serious about making money online and why you should get Market Samurai– purportedly the world’s most powerful keyword research tool.

As I begin, set your credit card aside because you will not need it today; even if I am able to convince you to download the free trial edition. With that critical provision in place, please give me an open mind as you proceed…

Tired of all the aggressive pitches that have been made towards selling the product, mine will be different as it is simply the sharing of information which many will find as worthwhile to know regarding this important software. Matters that have not been appreciated by many; as they got turned off by too much of the hype from most who try to sell the software to them.

Keyword Research is the process used by search engine professionals to identify and find actual search terms that people use on search engines (Google, Yahoo, etc.) to guide them with their online initiatives. It is a must for anyone who wants to make it online.

Internet marketing greenhorns (like me) are often at a loss and feel insecure with the limited know-how that they have. And ask, “How then do I choose the ideal research tool for me?” If you share in this apprehension, Market Samurai is an excellent candidate– particularly for beginners.

The Market Samurai software has a Keyword Research Tool which is easy to use. It also has seven other modules (Rank Tracker, SEO Competition, Monetization, Find Content, Publish Content, Promotion, and AdWords), but set that additional information aside at this time. For now, let us just talk about that all important Market Samurai- Free Keyword Research Tool.

Did I say free? Yes, it is completely free. And not just free for a trial period nor free for a limited time; but free–forever. Everyone who installs Market Samurai, has a non-lapsing copy of the Keyword Research Tool.

Download and install the complete program–absolutely for free; and have a fully-operational copy with which you can try everything that the complete software does, for a limited time. There is absolutely no risk on your part because after your trial period lapses, seven modules will no longer work. The important thing is the Keyword Research will remain fully functional–as a non-lapsing gift from the makers of the program (Noble Samurai, Australia).

Why would anyone refuse a free keyword research tool which you can use forever?

keyword analysis tool

Whether you are a newbie or a veteran on the subject of Keyword Research, you have probably already been introduced to its basics. Pay close attention to the methodology or approach to keyword research that your mentor is teaching to you. If it is KEI (Keyword Effectiveness Index), please consider my warning on its obsolescence… You should proceed to read every word of this article to learn more. It will briefly describe what KEI is, give you one numeric example, then tell you exactly why it is now obsolete. But more that just being the bearer of bad news; I would like to become your messenger of good tidings as well–as I tell you exactly what the New Methodology of Keyword Research involves.

KEI is a rather common approach to keyword research–undertaken through the use of two data elements: the popularity and competitiveness of keywords and phrases. The reason for the prevalence of this approach is likely due to the availability of the two tools that are used to conduct the research: the Google AdWords Keyword Tool and Google Search.

Example: “Energy Drinks” will be used as our seed key phrase.

Data: Using the Google AdWords Tool, the search volume per month is 26,722 searches; this is the Popularity of our key phrase. Using Google Search, the competition volume per month is 36,600,000 web pages; this is our Competition Volume.

Formula:
KEI = Popularity ^2 / Competitiveness
where: Popularity is the number of searches for a keyword per month; Competitiveness is the number of web pages that mention a keyword.

Computation:
KEI = (26,722 x 26,722) / 36,600,000 = 0.0195099 = 19.51
Note that the formula requires popularity to be squared; i.e., raised to the second power. We simplify this (in the above computation)–and actually get the same mathematical result by using– Popularity x Popularity. More straightforward, huh?

In the context of our “Energy Drinks” example above, our keyword research will likewise include the generation of synonymous keywords and phrases. The subsequent steps will involve searching for the popularity and the competitiveness of each of the said synonym keywords. This process is indeed a lengthy one and requires the patience of a monk.

Now obsolete? Yes, because there is now an easier way and better way of conducting keyword research. All you need is twenty minutes to identify your niche’s “golden nugget” keywords. It involves the use of four data values–not just two–as is used in the KEI approach. These four metrics are fondly referred to as the Four Golden Rules on: Traffic, Relevance, Competition and Commerciality. Relating to KEI, Traffic is similar to Popularity and Competition is similar to Competitiveness– and are actually based on the same source data.

The New Methodology of Keyword Research uses the Market Samurai Keyword Research Tool (MSKRT). It is available for free–as a gift from the Noble Samurai (Australia).

keyword analysis tool

I have been testing Market Samurai for quite awhile now and I have come to appreciate that carrying out keyword analysis isn’t really that difficult. Like many of you, I’ve experienced “Analysis Paralysis” in the past. An abundance of information, much of it ambiguous and some of it contradictory. I would take a somewhat enlightened stab in the dark when selecting the keywords to promote a website I’d built. Perhaps I’d get it right, maybe not. Not any more! The Market Samurai keyword research tool gives me all the information I want to receive consistent, targeted, traffic using keywords that bring buyers and not just browsers. I referred to Market Samurai as a tool. Actually it is made up of assorted tools referred to as modules that work as a group to prepare the results that I need. The following is a description the 7 modules built in:

* Keyword Research – Start with a seed keyword to find 800 additional keywords. Examine and determine their relevancy, traffic data, competition and ability to sell a product or service with just a single button push. The software will throw out words that do not meet precise goals that you’ve set in the software.

* SEO Competition – Market Samurai will show you a graphical map of the highest ten competitors for a specific word. The information is color coded for speedy understanding of the information. Red means tough competition while green means weak competition. A chart with more green areas than red indicates that you’ve got an excellent chance to get on to the first page of a google search for that keyword.

* Rank Tracker- Market Samurai will on it’s own follow your search engine listings in Google, Yahoo and Bing for the keywords you’ve chosen. Just enter a domain and the keywords and Market Samurai will tell you what pages in your url rank for which keywords. Rank Tracker is an indespensible tool that keeps track of your most important keywords over time so you can follow your achievements .

* Monetization – Discovered an exciting niche and want to discover items to promote? Market Samurai will discover products on Amazon, Clickbank, PayDotCom and Commission Junction that meet your niche requirements.

* Find Content – MS will easily locate content on the web connected to your keywords that you can add to a website or blog.

* Publish Content – Administer all your WordPress blogs in one place. Publish your content to them and elsewhere with just a few clicks.

* Promotion – Find Web 2.0 sites, blogs and forums corresponding to your keywords and place your backlinks.

I initially purchased Market Samurai for the Rank Tracking abilities but have quickly come to see that several of the other tools are essential to help decide if I’m heading in the right direction. It’s true that, keyword research is the most important part of any seo campaign. You have to know if you are going in the correct direction or else your work may be wasted time. Market Samurai is a complete set of tools that ensures you know where you’re going. I would not even consider beginning a fresh project these days without it.

*Important* did I let you know that the software is available for Mac as well as PC!

keyword analysis tool

You can do all the search engine optimization (SEO) you want to your website, but in the end, Google has the final say in your search engine rankings. Since Google puts so much weight on back links, domain age and content, it can seem impossible to get any traffic to a new domain. If you break down these factors you really don’t have much control over your search engine rankings when starting a new website on a new domain. Getting hundreds or even thousands of high quality back links will take years, not to mention that there is no way to speed up domain age. However, we can control our content and optimize it to the point where Google has no choice but to rank it high for the keyword phrase it was optimized for.

Research the niche or market before trying to take your piece of it

The very first mistake you can make is trying to enter into an over saturated and highly competitive market or niche. It may take some time, but you need to find a niche or market that has a reasonable amount of competition. Your keyword analysis tool should be able to advise you if a market or niche is a good idea to enter based on the data it retrieves from Google search results and other Google tools. If the tool you are using cannot do this, then you need a new keyword analysis tool.

Use your keyword analysis tool to buy your domain

The second mistake many people make is not using their keyword analysis tool to help them find a domain name that has their main keyword phrase they will be targeting at the beginning. Do not under estimate the power of having your main keyword phrase in your domain name. This alone can make or break your search engine rankings depending on the size of your website or blog. Take the time to find a good keyword rich domain and do not settle for anything less.

Write your content based on your findings

Now that you have taken the time to find some great keywords, you need to take the time to write an article around each one of those keywords keeping the article relevant, readable and useful. Don’t worry too much about keyword density, just make sure your keyword phrase is sprinkled throughout the article and that it reads naturally. You need to find a happy medium between pleasing bots and humans.

Optimize each web page or blog post individually

Don’t completely rely on fancy plug-ins or programs to do all of your search engine optimization for you. Start from top to bottom and make sure everything is optimized. Make sure the following are optimized with your keyword phrase by checking your source code.

Title tag
Meta description
Meta keywords
H1 tags
H2 tags
H3 tags
Article body
ALT tags
Post tags

Additionally, make sure your web page or blog post does not contain the following:

External links without the rel=”nofollow” attribute
Too many external links
Offensive language or pictures
Extremely high keyword density

If you have chosen your keywords wisely and implemented the above rules, you should be able to get traffic to those blog posts or web pages without much off page search engine optimization. Of course, implementing off page SEO will only help you rank better, so why not do it?

A few notes about off page search engine optimization

Though off page SEO is beyond the scope of this article, the keyword list you generated from your keyword analysis tool should be used for off page SEO as well. This means linking back to your website or blog with those keywords as anchor text. These keywords can also be used in press releases and articles for article marketing to help drive traffic too.

keyword analysis tool

If you’ve done any amount of keyword research while promoting web content, you’ve undoubtedly come across a variety of keyword analysis tools. Some tools are free, some are a one time cost, and others charge a monthly fee. They offer a wide range of features to make your research faster and easier. Unfortunately, no amount of features can make these tools perfect. They all have some drawbacks that you should consider when you are doing your research.

One problem is that they all tend to work off of one specific premise, and that is that you already know a root keyword from which to start your search. What can you do if you want to promote a site that is in a niche with which you are not yet familiar? If you aren’t comfortable with what this niche wants, how can you know which root keyword to start researching?

Likewise, what if you have been researching and promoting for a while, but you aren’t getting the results you would like? And after you’ve been working in a niche for a while, what happens when you just run out of things to say related to the keywords you’ve already researched?

These are situations where a keyword analysis tool just isn’t going to help you much. Luckily, there are some simple steps you can take to get your research efforts back into high gear. This is how all of your new research projects should start, and where you should turn continuously for more ideas and better understanding.

The first step you should take is to find a representative community online. If you are promoting something related to weight loss, look for support forums and other online groups. It can be helpful, especially if you are really good at getting down to a small niche within a given market, to look for the larger community of which your niche is a part.

Continuing with the weight loss example, perhaps your niche is people following a specific diet, such as the South Beach Diet. In this case, you would look for diet forums and similar communities, especially those who had a subgroup or section dedicated to your diet.

The reason for doing this is because it can give you a wider perspective on the people involved in your niche. It may also be a place where people go for advice regarding which diet to try or how to succeed with this diet, giving you an opportunity to see the thought process of people in the niche. This can help you know how to create your content so that it is better tailored to their specific wants and needs.

Another drawback of keyword analysis tools is that they are only as good as the database from which they draw their keywords. While many tools draw their information from Google’s keyword analysis tool, even these are not nearly complete when it comes to good keywords that people are typing into the search box.

To find some of these additional keywords that the tools may miss, it can be very helpful to simply go to the search engine and start typing one of your keywords. As you do, you should see a drop down list of keywords begin to appear. These are suggestions from the search engine based on the most popular keywords typed in that start with the letters you’ve already typed. Make a note of these and use them for further research and for developing your content.

Another spot to look at is the related keywords which you will often find at the bottom of the first search page when you search at Google. These keywords are considered by Google to be similar to the one you just searched, so they are worthy of further consideration as well.

Finally, you should pay attention to the tools that the team at Google continue to add to the search pages. One of the most useful recent additions is the Search Wheel, a relational search tool that allows you to type in one keyword, then follow links around a wheel to follow related terms and ideas. While this tool seems to be best for finding niche ideas within a market, it can certainly be helpful for finding niche keywords.

Finding a good niche, and then doing the research necessary to find good keywords to target can be a tedious and time consuming activity. And doing all of that work doesn’t guarantee you’ll find success with the keywords you’re targeting. Before you get overwhelmed or give up, you should know that you can get this work done for you, and by two well known and respected marketers.

Every day, you can have a list of niche keywords, already researched to find those that are lower in competition, delivered to your mailbox, along with an analysis of what the searchers are really looking for. It may sound too good to be true, but it isn’t. Check it out at http://www.instacashkeywords.org today.

keyword analysis tool

Market Samurai is an incredibly effective keyword analysis tool for marketers that are looking for profitable keywords.

This powerful tool enables marketers to find the “golden nugget keywords” that will launch their content onto the #1 spot in Google. The problem that most marketers face is that they don’t do enough extensive keyword research before they submit content onto the internet. Market Samurai will severely cut down the pain of doing keyword research.

A lot of marketers think that if they do basic keyword research their content will show up on the 1st page of the search engines. They have been severely mistaken. There are many other important factors that go into proper keyword research and if you miss even one of these areas you are wasting your time even submitting your content to the search engines.

Every marketer knows that proper keyword research is essential towards getting top search engine rankings right? So, what are the factors that go into finding these “golden nugget keywords?” We’ll get to that in a moment and I’ll show you why Market Samurai will teach you how to uncover them.

Here’s the typical process that marketers usually go through when searching for keywords.

First they use a keyword research tool such as Wordtracker or Google’s keyword tool and they search for a keyword. Let’s use the search term “keyword tool” for instance.

Once they’ve received the results back for “keyword tool,” they see that it’s searched 823,000 times a month in Google’s keyword tool.

Now most marketers realize that they have no chance of ranking for this keyword and they use a longer tailed keyword instead. So let’s say that they use the term “keyword analysis tool search engine” which is only searched 880 times a month instead.

So now that they think they have a realistic chance of ranking on this keyword, they go and check out their competition in Google.

So they type in “keyword analysis tool search engine” with quotes around it and see that there’s only 33,200 results showing on Google. They think that if they submit their content out to enough quality sites their content should have a good shot of showing on the 1st page of Google.

Next, they need to see if their keyword is profitable so they check on the right side of Google to see if ads are showing and notice that they are.

So now they’ve found a long tail keyword that’s searched a reasonable amount a month, there isn’t a lot of “competition results,” and there’s ads showing on Google.

So they are good to go right? WRONG! This is where most marketers fail and where their competition is eating them alive.

There’s a lot of other factors that they are missing in their keyword research and that’s where they are missing out big time. If their competitors are beating them in any of the areas below then they are going to get buried.

*It’s so important to know these know your competition or else you are just wasting your time.

Market Samurai will save you from all of this pain!

Here’s some of the other factors:

Domain Age

Page Rank

Google Index Count

Page Backlinks

Domain Backlinks

.EDU & . Gov Backlinks

DMOZ directory listing

Yahoo directory listing

Keyword in title, url, description, and header

Google Cache Age

Market Samurai will take care of doing all of this painful research for you. Just think about the tremendous amount of time that you will save by using this tool.

keyword analysis tool

It wasn’t long ago I gave Google way more credit than they deserve. I used to spend hours writing extremely valuable and factual content with a no fluff and no bull approach. I just figured as long as I chose a topic, did my research, and wrote a great article, Google would put the article where it belongs and give me some organic traffic. I took this approach for about 6 months writing literally hundreds of articles without using a keyword analysis tool. I waited patiently for traffic to come, but it never did.

I then spent months doing link building through article marketing, social networking, website directory submissions, forum posting, social bookmarking, and many other methods. Still, no real significant amounts of traffic ever came. I was lucky to get 10 unique visitors to any of my blogs and websites per day. I began to think that it was impossible to rank in Google.

So what was I doing wrong? I was writing tons of great articles, giving away incredibly valuable information, and getting thousands of back links. Well, I’ll tell you exactly what I did wrong. I gave Google way more credit than they deserved and I was not using a keyword analysis tool. Google is a simple bot with a list of algorithms it follows, that’s it. There is really nothing incredibly sophisticated about it.

How do I know this? I tested it on one simple little blog. Here’s what I did. I purchased a brand new domain name. The domain name was only slightly related to the niche. In other words, the domain name was not that valuable and had less than ten total searches per month for the exact keywords that domain had. I then built a simple ten page blog on that domain over the course of about two days. Each post was written around a specific low competition keyword phrase found by using a keyword analysis tool. I added about ten to twelve tags to each post. The tags were related to the main keyword phrase and had slightly lower competition then the main keyword phrase. The tags were also found using the keyword analysis tool as well. I did absolutely no off page search engine optimization to this blog. I just let it sit there, that’s it. After about one week the blog was fully indexed and receiving about 120 unique visitors per day. Needless to say I was in disbelief that it was that easy to get natural traffic. At the same time I wanted to slap myself for not trying this earlier. I had always heard people say “do your keyword analysis”, but I never really truly grasped what they meant until lately.

Here’s the bottom line. Unless you have a high ranking blog or website that has thousands of highly valuable back links and a decent domain age, you are probably not going to rank for any high traffic keywords. If you have a fairly new domain and very few back links, consider yourself a bottom feeder. It sounds worse than it actually is. This just means you’re going to have to do your keyword analysis before writing each article. I cannot stress this enough. Your keyword analysis is what will make or break you.

Manually doing your keyword analysis will take weeks and still leave some guess work involved. Purchasing a good keyword analysis tool will save you a lot of time and money. Any good keyword analysis tool will pay for itself in no time at all.

keyword analysis tool

There are a number of keyword analysis tools available today. Some are free to use, but offer limited features. Others are available for a fee, either one time or monthly, which offer easier analysis and features to make your keyword research faster and simpler.

If you are just starting out, it is probably best to start with the freely available tools. The two most popular, and probably the best of the free tools, are the Google keyword analysis tool and the free Wordtracker tool. Both are good tools, providing up to about 100 keywords per search along with search volume information.

Wordtracker offers a paid version of their keyword tool as well. For a monthly fee, you are given access to the web application which gives the full list of up to 1000 keywords, rather than the limited number given by their free tool. It also includes competition analysis information and management tools to organize your keyword research.

Another popular paid tool for keyword research is Micro Niche Finder, an application you download and install locally on your computer for a one-time fee. This tool includes features to help manage your research projects as well as a variety of tools to help you analyze the competition for a given keyword. It also provides a search for domain names with the domain suffixes of .com, .org, and .net that match the keyword selected. It also provides information about the commercial intent and the average cost of pay-per-click advertising for the keyword.

A relatively new tool that has become popular quickly is Market Samurai. This tool, available for free with limited functionality, has a paid version that is available for a one-time fee. Both the free and paid versions are downloaded and installed on your computer. This tool divides the functions into modules. The keyword research module is the one available for free, and as of the time of this article it was not limited in the information it provides in the way that Wordtracker’s free tool is.

Another module provides you information on the strength of competition, providing detailed analysis of the top sites for the given keyword as well as more generic competition information. There are also modules to help find domains, search for related affiliate products, help find related content, and promotional opportunities.

Using a keyword analysis tool is an essential step in the research process, but don’t rely too much on the numbers given by these tools. All of the methods currently in use by all keyword analysis tools for measuring search volume are flawed at best, so use these numbers as a guideline, but don’t count on their accuracy. However, as a guideline, these tools will give an indication of the relative strength of a given keyword so you can decide if it is worth your time to pursue.

Doing keyword research can be a long and tedious process. While using these tools can help considerably, it would be much faster and easier to have someone provide you with low competition keywords each day. Fortunately, two prominent marketers have created a service that does just that.

If you would like to find out about how you can get a new list of low-competition keywords every day, along with a niche market analysis, put together by two successful online marketers, go to http://www.instacashkeywords.org and see for yourself.

www.keyword-analysis-tool.com There are plenty of free tools around which will give you part of the information that you need but not the the full picture and therefore hinder your of success

Like most people, I spend some time at Google’s keyword tool trying to dig up untappoed keywords to drill profitable new holes in a market. And while I like this free tool, the real work starts when I get a few keywords that catch my interest.

After all, while it’s nice to have a keyword that gets 4000 exact searches per month, that’s just one metric out of many that will qualify it for targeting in a marketing campaign. Beyond the raw seacrch numbers, I need to know how profitable the word is. That means I have to go elsewhere to find the advertiser demand and cost-per-click for the word. That means trips to Google traffic estimator, other SEO and Adwords sites, and visits to geo-specific results in Google to see what ads there are in the results. Then I will use software to check that they are going after this keyword and what they are paying. I will also have to visit websites to see if they are specifically targeting the keyword, or if they landed in the top results inadvertently. I will need appraisals of they keyword, and will have to learn if it is a buyer’s keyword or just a web surfer’s keyword. And there’s much more. And, I am still missing great keywords that happent to have lower exact searches of 600 or 700 per month. In some high cap business, 600 or 700 new customers per month would be an extraordinary windfall.

Checking out one keyword can take a half and hour if done thoroughly, and I am usually looking at dozens or even hundreds of keywords. And I don’t want to shortcut this because poor keyword choice will make all the following work of content creation, website building and domain buying pointless.

Now, I’m as cheap as the next guy. Cheaper, probably. So with all the free tools, I put off any automation for a long time. But, I realized the time I was spending on keywords was time I could use to make more money elsewhere. I might still have been too cheap had Market Samuria not been offering a free trial. A real free trial, not the kind that asks your credit card number and hopes you forget to cancel before the trial period ends.

I found that the software let me rip through the keywords with sharper analysis skills than I had ever used – and in a fraction of the time. I felt a bit stupid for not getting it sooner.

The thing is, time is money. In fact, time is also family and personal life. And it’s irreplaceable. I need all I can to get a jump ahead, and a small amount of money bought me a whole lot more time as well as better keyword analysis results.

See how to use the keyword analysis software, and how to get it for free at http://keywordanalysissoftware.com. And don’t forget to look at some great longtail keyword discovery tricks there.

The right keyword analysis software will cut hours out of your search for profitable and untapped keyword phrases. And since some of this software is free, it makes no sense at all not to try it and free your time up for the mportant things in life.

Keyword research could be the most important aspect of your initial research into website and domain names. Ideally, you want a domain that has a good number of searches, but few other websites supplying to the keyword you are using. There are several options you could use for your research, and one possibility is the free Digital Point Solutions keyword tool that gives you the daily number of searches for your keyword using Wordtracker and Yahoo S.M.The domain name is the name you give to your website. It should ideally be the title of your website. That’s not as obvious as it might seem. You might want a website connected with calligraphy supplies, in other words selling supplies pertaining to calligraphy such as pens, brushes, paper and inks. An ideal name for such a website would obviously be ‘Calligraphy Supplies’, and that is what you might decide upon. Now you see the first step towards SEO campaign is Keyword analysis and mapping it with website theme and content. There are many tools available over internet for keyword analysis; you can easily find it on Google. But the major concern is the cost of those tools. Cost varies from approx 60 USD monthly to several hundred dollars yearly.A keyword analysis will give you a list of about 10 of the best words and phrases to bring you targeted leads. These keywords will be used in your title tags, meta tags, body text and more. A professional analysis will also be of great value when creating pay per click campaigns and writing articles and press releases to promote your website.Do not choose keywords merely because they have a high PPC. Most high PPC keywords do not stay high forever. Also, every ‘get-rich-quick’ Webmaster is targeting those keywords, so there will be lots of competition from established players and you’ll be buried in the results. All your keywords should have reasonable demand. High demand keywords usually have lots of competition, and if you are a new site, you will remain buried at 1000 + in the search results for a very long time if you use this strategy. Not only does your blog posting need to be original but it also needs to be frequent. Google doesn’t like blogs that don’t have postings in weeks or months and will thus not ‘crawl’ your blog frequently. This can be a huge problem and will harm your Google search results rankings. So try and post daily or every other day, this will build your blog’s directory and build credibility with Google. Not to mention that if the content that you publish is useful people will come back daily to see what other information you may have. Many people often make the mistake of thinking do I need an SEO consultant? So if you are one of these people who are now thinking do I really need an SEO consultant? Then you need to ask yourself are you happy with your current online position in the major search engines? If you are answering this question as no then you are in need of an SEO consultant to help your site get higher up in the search engines.

Read about manual article submission. Also read about article submission service and submit articles

Is your marketing plan driving business to your competitor’s websites? Is your company’s website performing as well as it possibly can? How’s your conversion rate?

Enter Keyword Analysis.

With keywords playing such a dominant role in driving consumers to websites, you need to compete strongly. If you are not competing strongly, your business is losing a significant amount of money.

Internet marketing is crucial for businesses that operate exclusively online, as well as for more traditional, bricks-and-mortar businesses. Search engines dominate the Internet, forcing businesses to compete for online rankings. So, understanding the importance of keywords and how to select the best ones for your business will not only determine your company’s online search engine ranking, but the quantity and quality of traffic driven to your website.

Keywords and Business Revenues – Working Hand In Hand

The keywords used in the both the static and dynamic content on your website and in your online marketing efforts will determine the quantity and quality of the traffic being driven to your website.

Static content refers to the web pages and content of your company’s page titles, and other information that rarely change such as the Meta tags for your website.

Conversely, dynamic content refers to the content that changes or is updated regularly, such as blog posts, articles, forum postings, and advertisements that you utilize as part of your company’s online marketing efforts.

Choosing Keywords – Your Bread and Butter

The keywords that you use in all of your company’s content will affect your search engine rankings, and ultimately your website’s traffic.

Earlier schools of thought taught that choosing general keywords that best related to your target market was the best way to appeal to the largest number of visitors; thereby garnering more traffic – and more sales – as a result.

This is no longer true, at least for some businesses.

For some businesses, targeting long tail keywords brings the best results, especially in terms of conversion rates. Long tail keywords help you more effectively target groups of customers and out-convert the competition. Consider this example:

You have a juice bar in San Diego, California. Your first list of keywords might look like this:

· Juice Bars California

· San Diego Juice Bars

· West Coast Juice Bars

However, you may find that you have lots of competition for these search terms, as they are quite general and non-specific.

The long tail keyword strategy incorporates terms that a smaller group of users (and potential customers) is likely to type into the search box. Your long tail list might look something like this:

· List of juice bars in San Diego California

· Cheap juice bars on the west coast

· The best juice bars in the San Diego area

By using the long tail keyword strategy, your website’s content will attract visitors actively searching for the above information, and that are ready to buy now; as a result, your conversion rate will dramatically increase.

The best way to become accurate in your keyword selections is to ask for help. Some of the most effective market sizing and keyword suggestion tools are Overture, Google, WordTracker and Ask.com. These tools will be able to give you a list of relevant long tail keywords for your business for little to no cost.

Synonyms

In order to leverage the power of keywords, you will need to develop a comprehensive list of keywords for your business. There are online and software keyword tools that you can use as well as manual exercises to help you choose the best keywords for your business.

Even if you choose to use a keyword tool, understanding the manual process of keyword analysis is important to drive the best results possible. For example, if you own a travel business in Houston, TX; here are some possible keywords to consider:

· Travel company Houston

· Houston Travel Company

· Houston Travel Services

· Houston TX Travel Services

Again, using general keywords may appeal to the widest audience possible, but probably won’t give you the results (in $$$) that you are after due to the amount of competition.

As you brainstorm possibilities, consider any combination of relevant words that someone may type into the search engine to locate your type of business.

Use as many synonyms, abbreviations and word combinations that you can think of. You will likely develop an extensive list of keywords, but it is a great place to start your marketing campaign as they will all have some relevance to your business’ products and services.

Understanding keywords is crucial in the development and execution of your online marketing strategy. Use the tips in this article, and you’ll be well on your way to online marketing success

How do you DISCOVER BEST KEYWORDS for your home based internet marketing business and make BIG money online from home? You’ll discover the effective steps for keyword analysis research here:

As we knew that, on the internet, keywords are terms or words that relate to particular topics. Keyword analysis research will involve various aspects, such as finding sales oriented keywords or driving maximum qualified users to increase their online sales.

Keyword analysis research is the first step towards a successful search engine optimization campaign. You have to be very careful when selecting keywords, as it can be very tricky to select targeted keywords for a website.

The selection of keywords should always be based on various aspects such as product names, services, brands, or general terms. Often times, people forget about targeting geographical terms when they have global presence.

When doing keyword research, it’s highly recommended to do a very thorough market research analysis to find the best keywords used by search engines to find products and services online – and find out what keywords are targeted by competitors who are doing well in marketing on the internet.

You’ll discover my 5 simple effective steps for your effective keyword analysis research here:(1) Build a list of keywords what people are using to search for your products in your niche markets

The first step in finding the best keywords is to make a list of the products, topics, and services that you offer. You can also make good use of your website logs to know which keywords have brought you the traffic in the past. In this step, you must THINK about keywords people are using to search for products in your niche markets. Also, you must build a list of common keywords from your brainstorm in this step.

Be sure to select keywords that clearly define your business and products to drive traffic from the search engines. There are some websites which get high levels of traffic through general keywords although they might not end up being sales.

Today, users of search engines are aware of how they work, for searching products and services on the net. Users always look for the better products, locations, etc. Therefore, you should cover all terms for each – products, locations, etc.(2) Refine your keyword research in WordTracker or Keyword Discovery

There are numerous tools available which will help you identify keywords that are suitable for search engines. The challenge here is to determine which keyword is the best to generate traffic. I highly recommend you to focus on KEI value. Also, I would love to recommend you to choose the keywords which their KEI value is greater than 100.Click here now to refine your keyword research in WordTracker(3) Check out the competition for each keyword

In this step, I highly recommend you to check out the competitors for each keyword from previous steps. Our target is to discover low competitor keywords with high relevancy keywords.

I highly recommend you to use KeyCompete keyword analysis research tool to check out the competitors of each keywords.(4) Test your keywords using pay-per-click campaign

I always tell you that you must TEST everything for your home based internet marketing business. In these steps, I highly recommend you to test your keywords in order to discover your BEST keywords. You must look for keywords, which has a highly conversion rate. (5) Use your star performing keywords EVERYWHERE

In this step, it is really easy! Once you have your BEST keywords from previous steps, you MUST use those keywords EVERYWHERE (e.g. blogging, article, email and PPC advertising).

Conclusion, the key to your success of high effective keywords analysis research is WordTracker, Keyword Discovery and KeyCompete. I highly encourage you to follow those 5 effective ways to DISCOVER your hot niche & high conversion keywords!

As the years roll by and I keep honing my SEO Consulting skills, my Keyword Analysis process and documentation has gone through several transformations.

The deliverable Keyword Analysis document is on an Excel spreadsheet with several tabs. The main contents of my keyword analysis are:

1) Keyword Volume/Discovery. 2) Keyword Ranking. 3) Keyword Demand. 4) Web Analytics. 5) Keyword Difficulty. 6) Next Steps.

Keyword Search Volume and Discovery: I use Wordtracker and cross reference with other tools like KeywordDiscovery and the Google Keyword Tool. A separate tab is created for each keyword group. International SEO demands that the foreign language Google is checked. Eg: Google.no, google.de, google.co.uk. Once all the possible keyword combinations are generated, I look for the most relevant terms that are further down the Conversion Funnel for a better return on investment (ROI). Those are the terms that I use for the next step.

Keyword Ranking: I take the identified terms from the Keyword Search Volume Discovery tab, and plug them into Web Position. Sometimes, I double check the keyword rankings manually against Web Position. This tab is used as the Baseline Keyword Ranking.

Keyword Demand: Next, I plug those terms from the Keyword Ranking report into a Keyword Demand Matrix. This tab contains 5 Columns: Keyword Phrase, Monthly KW Demand, Actual search referrals, Share of Search traffic, Missed opportunities.

Web Analytics: In this tab, copy and paste the Analytics report. Basic information I like to see is Visitors, by Keywords, by Search Engine, for the last 3 months. Each month can be it’s own tab. Of course if they have conversion data, that is included. Occasionally, we need to correctly configure the Analytics software.

Keyword Difficulty & Competitiveness At this point, I’ve usually narrowed down the keyword(s) I want to optimize for the Target URL to a couple of terms. A few factors I measure are: Domain Link Portfolio, Age of Domain, .edu .gov links, Alexa Rank, PageRank, and the Internal link percent of the Target URL.

Next Steps: In this tab, you want to call out 3 things: Campaign Objectives, Target Keywords and their Success Metrics and the rationale behind it.

The Internet has become a money-making tool for many people nowadays. On the Internet, you can launch websites that offer certain products and services, or simply maintain web logs (more popularly known today as blogs) and earn income by generating traffic.

It sounds easy – this whole traffic business – but in reality, it requires more work, time and effort than you think.

There are many tips circulating the Internet on how you can attract more visitors to your site. One of the most effective methods of getting targeted visitors to your website is through keyword analysis research.

Keyword analysis research simply means determining the keywords internet users can use to get to your website via the search engines. For example, if your website is on dog training, then naturally you want your visitors to find your website through keywords such as dog training, obedience training, potty training etc.

Keyword research also allows you to determine the level of competition you face. More popular keywords such as dog training can require considerably more effort to be in the top 3 of the search engines. However, keywords such as how to house train a dog may only require a couple of one way back links in order well in the search engines.

There are many free and paid keyword research tools available. The free tools include the google keyword external tool which is pretty good since it shows the average search volume in numbers now. If you are using google adwords, it is also a good keyword tool to get more keywords as well know the level of adwords competition for a given keyword.

There are other paid keyword research tools such as nichebot 2, SEO elite, keyword discovery, wordtracker and more. Most offer a trial period and I recommend you try them out to see which is the best keyword research tool for you.

Proper keyword analysis research is vital in providing your website with the most relevant content to the criteria submitted by the searcher. Search engines are programmed to identify important and relevant information in relation to searches; if this function fails to work correctly people will stop using that search engine, so one of the most important aspects of getting good rankings and good search engine positions is proper keyword analysis research.

There are two options when conducting keyword analysis research; firstly you can opt to use some of the free tools available, the second option is to spend out on buying some tools.

Of course your choice will come down to how serious you are about obtaining high search engine rankings and how much you can afford to spend getting there. The free tools are perfectly acceptable but you should be aware that they will provide only linear results which means that the keywords and phrases submitted via the free tools will be limited to that word alone. As an example, you could put the word cat into your free tool and the results you get back will relate only to that one keyword; it will not however display any associated words such as kitten which might have been useful to you.

The obvious advantage to using free tools is that they cost you nothing, being simply free to use, but this is also a disadvantage. Important words that would be perfect for your site may be missed because the output of free tools is quite linear and if they do provide you with a synonym it will often be only one word deep. Rather than provide you with a ready selection of keywords it would mean plugging that synonym into the tool and conducting the search again, a process that would become repetitive. The whole process is time consuming enough without complicating things further with more labor intensive preparation work.

If instead you choose to pay for some of the tools to help with your research analysis you should achieve much more comprehensive results as these tools are designed to operate in a non-linear fashion and to thoroughly dig through a word to locate any related keywords and phrases. They will bring up a variety of associated data and information that you may not have considered and will certainly be more productive, uncovering more than using free keyword tools. Using these tools to locate the low competition but well searched keywords and phrases is important as your hard earned money is going to be on the line.

Keyword tools are important in saving you time and money so take advantage as much as possible. They can help locate many associated words you may never have considered, they can also find low competition phrases that hold relevance to your site and they can provide full analysis research by interrogating your word or phrase in a fraction of the time it would take you manually. Their only real disadvantage is the initial cost but if you intend to be serious about generating traffic to your site and developing excellent search engine results the cost should be regarded as negligible.

Micro Niche Finder, as the name implies, is a software tool that will help you find untapped niche market. Actually, it’s more than just helping you to detect profitable niches, but it’s also meant to be used as a keyword finding and analysis tool.

If you’ve been building niche websites for a while now, I’m sure you agree that the KEY to building a successful and profitable niche site lies in finding the RIGHT keywords. But, what does the right keywords mean?

To be considered as the RIGHT keyword, it must have the following 3 basic criteria:

1. There are people searching for the keyword (also known as search volume).

2. There are NOT too many competing web pages targeting on the keyword (these are the competitors).

3. The keyword must have high commercial value or commercial intention.

When it comes to finding the right keywords, there is NO exact scientific method. It’s a combination of using a software tool, experience and gut feel. One thing for sure is that you need to sit down and spend some time hunting them.

How can Micro Niche Finder help you?

First, Micro Niche Finder can help you to save TIME as it’s specially designed to find the RIGHT keywords or keyword phrases quickly and accurately (ie. keywords that satisfiy the 3 criteria we discussed above).

I’m particularly impress with one feature called: ‘Strength of Competition’ or SOC. This little feature will clearly show you what keywords are worth targeting and what keywords that must be used with caution. Each keyword phrases are clearly indicated with a color code. For example, a green color means that the keywords have some good search volume and low competition. A yellow color means that the keywords have moderate competition and a red color means that it has fierce competition.

So, by looking at the color indicator, you will know what keywords you should focus on (green), what keywords you should use with caution (yellow), and what keywords are NOT worth targeting (red). I’m not saying that you should totally ignore those keywords that are colored RED but rather proceed with caution as the competition is high and the keywords are more difficult to rank on the search engines.

Another thing I like about Micro Niche Finder is that the owner (James Jones) keeps updating the software. Currently, it’s on version 4.x and this new version comes with another neat feature known as ‘Keyword Commercial Intention’. This means that you can now easily know whether a particular keyword you’re targeting can result in sales or not. Keywords that have high commercial intention means that they’re likely to convert into SALES!

Last but not least, Micro Niche Finder is a one-time cost software tool and it includes free lifetime upgrades.

Conclusion:

If you’re doing online business, one of the most important skills you must develop well is the market/keyword research as it’s key to your success. Micro Niche Finder is a very decent market and keyword analysis tool that not only can save you lots of time but also help you dominate your niche markets.

Keywords are at the core of all search engine optimization tools. There are a number of expensive ways to do keyword analysis and get high-ranking keywords for your website. Open Phrases offers you an effective and comprehensive keyword tool with one very special difference- it’s completely free!

Got The Key?

The most effective way of optimizing a website is to make sure that it is keyword-enriched. Without the right kind of keywords, your site will not show up in the search engines and people wouldn’t know that it’s out there. This would mean that you’re not going to get any traffic at all. The search engines are the biggest way to drive traffic to your site- with the right kind of keywords; you can easily find yourself in the first few search engine pages.

By knowing what people will look for in the search engines, you can easily design your website to become one of the most popular ones on the internet. The trick is finding the right keywords. It’s even better if you can find free keywords that actually generate traffic. There are a number of keyword tools and keyword suggestion software out there but most of them cost a lot of money. Open Phrases offers you all the keyword analysis tools that you’ll ever need for absolutely no charge. The website gives you an extensive listing of the keywords which are most likely to be used in search engines like Google and Yahoo.

Stems And Synonyms

Open Phrases offers you a number of extra keyword analysis tools that you can’t ordinarily find unless you pay for them. The website uses a tactic known as Stemming- this means that it searches for variations of a keyword. For example, if you look up ‘run’, you’ll also get results for words like ‘runner’ and ‘running’. You also have the added advantage of being able to find synonyms. This means that if you look up the word ‘chocolate’, you’ll also get results for the words ‘candy’ and sweet’.

Open Phrases isn’t simply relegated to one language- right now, you can access feeds from search engines in English, Russian, German and Slovak. In terms of statistics, the Open Phrase database currently supports over 55.000.000 unique keywords and 800.000.000 queries. You can also take advantage of our MatchMode tool, which gives you the power to match your search queries using the ‘and’ as well as ‘or’ feature.

Using the keyword search service is very simple- just type in the keyword that you want to analyze. You can also request for synonyms, stemming, language, word count and length. Open Phrases allows you to conduct 1000 searches every day- if you’d like to do more, simply contact the website administration.

With so many services available, many of you might be wondering what the catch is. The truth is that there is no catch- the idea of this keyword suggestion service was started simply because there wasn’t one on the market that was a web service API and open to the public. If you’re still skeptical, why not try it out for yourself? The service is free and easy to use, so what do you have to lose? Try out one of the most exciting keyword analysis tools available today!

Keyword Analysis (Search Engine Optimization) In Internet Marketing

This article will be an introduction to keyword analysis. If you’re doing any sort of written marketing (blogging, articles, squidoo lenses, press releases) and ESPECIALLY if you’re using Google AdWords, you need to do keyword analysis. I say especially for Google Adwords because the written forms of marketing I mentioned are low-cost or free, whereas you can lose a lot of money quickly on Google Adwords if you don’t know what you’re doing. There is much more to know about Google AdWords than keyword analysis, so don’t start marketing on Google with only this as a background.

I currently do my keyword analysis using a tool called Wordtracker. As far as I know, Wordtracker gives the most comprehensive results for keyword research. I would recommend a subscription to Wordtracker (as opposed to the free WordTracker tool) if you have the money, because you will get more results and there are other options which the free wordtracker tool doesn’t provide. If you can’t afford it though, the free tool is still great, and definitely much better than nothing.

To start, let’s go to the free WordTracker tool at http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/. As an example, I’ll use one of my other blog posts, Gorilla Marketing Tactics to illustrate keyword research. I initially wanted to blog about cheap marketing methods. I had heard of low-cost marketing referred to as “guerrilla marketing”, so that was the keyword I started with in WordTracker. Type “guerrilla marketing” (without quotes) into the free WordTracker tool. The results you see are search terms compiled by WordTracker based on actual search engine data. The number you see on the left is the number of times that keyword was searched for in the past 160 days. As you can see, there are probably a lot of terms shown here that you wouldn’t have thought of yourself.

Since these are common terms used by actual people searching the net, you want to tag your content with one (or a few) of these keywords. Before we continue however, I should mention that at this point, there is one huge advantage you will have with the paid WordTracker tool. The free WordTracker tool only gives you keyword suggestions containing your keyword, i.e. every result you see right now will have “guerrilla marketing” in the phrase somewhere. The paid version will also give you keywords related to your search, which include misspellings.

To illustrate what I mean, if I type “guerrilla marketing” into the paid version, I get results such as guerilla marketing (notice the missing “r”), gorilla marketing, marketing, small business, alternative marketing, and so on. As you can imagine, this is incredibly helpful. You can click on each related keyword to get further results as we have done in the free tool.

This should be a lesson to you (if you don’t have the paid version of WordTracker) to always search for any possible misspellings of the terms you’re searching for. As an example here, type “guerilla marketing” (misspelled with one “r”) into the free WordTracker tool. “Guerilla marketing” has more searches (92), than the properly spelled “guerrilla marketing” (45). Not only that, but there are way more related keywords to use.

As a general guideline, you should choose keywords with 20 or more searches for it to be useful to you. So let’s choose a few keyword possibilities for the blog post. I’m going to choose:

1) Guerrilla marketing (45)
2) Guerilla marketing (92)
3) Guerilla marketing tactics (51)
4) Guerilla marketing strategy (31)
5) Gorilla marketing (51) (suggested by the paid version of WordTracker)
6) Gorilla marketing tactics (28)

You now want to see how much competition there is for each keyword. You don’t want to use a keyword that a lot of other people are using, even if it has a ton of searches because it would be likely that no one would find your content. To determine your competition, go to Google. Type in each one of the keywords above with brackets around it. This will give you the number of other people using the same keyword to tag their content (don’t confuse this with the number of times a keyword is searched for). The results from this are:

1) Guerrilla marketing (702 000)
2) Guerilla marketing (690 000)
3) Guerilla marketing tactics (18 200)
4) Guerilla marketing strategy (5740)
5) Gorilla marketing (43 900)
6) Gorilla marketing tactics (443)

Ideally you want this number to be below 5000 (up to about 10 000). I could have chosen the keyword “guerrilla marketing strategy”, but because “gorilla marketing tactics” had such incredibly low competition, I used it instead regardless of the funny spelling mistake. In case someone comes across my blog post and thinks I’m a complete moron for the misspelling, I do note the correct spelling in the post.

Whatever content you’re writing, there will be a place for you to submit your keywords, so make sure you do so, i.e. don’t only use your keywords in your content, you have to officially submit them. You should also have your keywords in the body of your content at least three times or so (this will give you better results in search engines), as well as in the content title. You can of course use more than one keyword, and should ideally have four or five if possible.

As a final note, Google does also offer a free keyword analysis tool at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal, which does have related keyword results, but I personally much prefer WordTracker, and find it to be more comprehensive. Also, Google does not provide exact numbers in the results, as WordTracker does.

That does it for this article. Make sure you do your keyword analysis before posting any content!

Targeted keywords are hard to ignore in search engine optimisation. Keywords play vital roles in optimizing a website, ranking on the search engines and reaching target market. Keywords have loads of benefits if you know how to find them.

With targeted keywords on your website, you will be able to reach your target market easily, appear on the search engine results pages for different search terms, generate online sales, and get higher search engine ranking. A targeted keyword is a powerful factor in the overall search engine optimisation success.

Keywords and Search Engine Optimisation

keywords are relevant in SEO. However, overdoing keywords on a website is against the rule of organic optimisation. It will trigger red flags from the search engines. This is what referred to as Keyword Stuffing – one of the Black Hat search engine optimisation techniques.

To fully generate positive results from keywords, search engine optimizers and web marketers must adhere to the basic rules of search engine optimisation. After all, you don’t have to engage in keyword stuffing or other black hat SEO techniques just to make keywords work for your website. The secret to get positive results from keywords is to optimise and target them.

It is also important to analyze your keywords to avoid getting into keyword stuffing unintentionally. There are times when web marketers do keyword stuffing without knowing it. But intentional or unintentional, web marketers doing keyword stuffing still get penalized.

Keyword Analysis Made Easy

Keyword Analysis is crucial to make sure you give your website the right quality and quantity of targeted keywords. Keyword analysis is made easy with the birth of several internet marketing and search engine optimisation tools. These online tools eased the burden of web marketers in analyzing the quality and quantity of keywords on their web pages.

The Keyword Analysis Tool is a must have for search engine optimizers and web marketers. With this kind of SEO tool, you can save your precious time and effort on other internet marketing techniques. After all, search engine optimisation is not all about keywords.

Today, there is no reason for you to quit analyzing keywords on your website. What is a few seconds to check your keywords quality and quantity compared to getting your website banned because of keyword stuffing and other SEO errors? Remember you can unleash the power of keywords if you know how to do it.
